Mileage ko around 46,100km, 2009 model Type 2 SGX A/T.

Around 40,000km yung mileage. Ano possible issue nun? Papasok ko sa service this Saturday.

    Thanks in advance!

hi sir moonbeamturbo.. havent experienced that issue yet.. type 1 running almost at 60,000 daily drive.

may i ask sir din pag pa-service nyo kung magkano damage for palit ng aux fan motor/assembly? tsaka kung magkano din pa-palit ng front wheel bearings.. (left and right set na agad.. with labor) thanks!!

regarding your question.. for safety purposes.. best is have it replaced na din kung nag paparamdam na.. safety is uptmost importance for you and your family.. same goes with mine.. kaya nag hahanap na din ako ng kapalit ng auxfan motor ko dahil tumutunog na.. tsaka yung sa front wheel bearings.. nag sisimula na din siya tumunog.

    Sir Olidotcom,

Yung alternator belt PHP527.61 yung parts plus PHP275.00 labor tapos A/C belt PHP565.43 and PHP275.00 din yung labor.

grabe sir.. ang mahal pala ng ignition coil natin... havent experienced that issue yet.. currently running at almost 60,000kms.. no issue with that yet.. but my aux fan is starting to whirrr.. wheel bearings also started to sound when turning full... so nag iipon na din ako.

among the members.. wala pang nag re-report ng ignition coil issue sir.. sa iyo pa lang first na narinig ko.

by the way sir.. ano yung experience nyo nung ignition coil na ang issue? ayaw na mag start?

Wheel bearings - PHP 5,856.00 (both na yata ito)
    Fan motor - PHP 5,272.00
Labor for both - PHP 3,245.00

problema ko uneven tire wear sa front wheels ng apv type II. kailangan ko magpalit ng gulong. ang tanong ko, i read from the local suzuki forum before na di daw pwedeng i-camber correction yung front wheels ng apv. tama ba ito?

second question, i'm planning to change the two front tires. ok lang ba na ibang brand ang ilagay ko (of course same tire size pero baka ibang rating)? tire sellers always otherwise pero common sense would dictate na siyempre pwede.

strange.. the uneven tire wear was the issue with APV Type 1.. but this is the first time I heard that the Type 2 has the same issue as well.

anyway.. regarding camber correction, it is still possible but the top holes will be slightly 'scraped' to enable the camber to be corrected.

regarding the tires, yes, you may change it but make sure that it is capable of high speed and medium weight handling..

Thanks *olidotcom. About the tires, I'm planning to buy the Yokohama S760 185/80R14 91S, same rating as the stock tires. Another option would be the Goodyear Duraplus 185/80R14 95S which is 220 pesos more expensive. Others which I have not checked the price or availability:

    Kumho Radial 857 (108 Q).
    GT Radial Maxmiler (104/101 N).
    Toyo H08 (102/100S).

Went to the S&R tire center what they recommend is 195/70R14 since they do not have the 185/80R14. I'm sticking with the stock sizes but is there an advantage with slightly thicker(?) tires?

I am using Goodyear duraplus 185/80, so far soft ride and nice bounce. I suggest stick with stock size unless you plan to replace the magwheels.

id go with sir zipspeed's advice.. Type 2 is quite stiff as compared with Type 1 APVs.. added comfort from the rubber will be better.

unless you change tires like i did. hehehehee....

Hi, just want to greet everybody and share my experience in buying a second hand car. I also got a
second hand suzuki apv 2006 model automatic and it has run 67,000 km already. Got this at Carland
this month for 360,000.00 Php. The car exterior and interior were good but sad to say I did not carefully
checked under the hood . After a few days the rack and pinion rubber casings at the left called "bellows"
connected to the tie rod started leaking. The AC compressor also is showing signs of shaft seal leak.
The cylinder head valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket are also showing signs of minor leak. I only
discovered this when I had it oil changed as it was lifted I had the opportunity to see everything under the
car. I advice people to be careful in buying second hand cars and bring their trusted mechanic to check it
also. As of now the cost of a brand new rack and pinion assembly is 39,390.00 Php and cylinder head
valve cover gasket is 450.00 Php parts at Suzuki, E. Rodriguez in Q.C..

I saw this post and called up Olympia Auto Supply to ask if they have this rack and pinion
overhauling kit or assembly for the suzuki apv. They said that they don't have this but
they can repair the rack and pinion using the Vitara parts and hino rubber seals(I Think).
The cost is 9,500.00 Php and will take about seven hours. According to them this is a
common the problems with Suzuki's. The sad thing was, the rack and pinion assembly
I ordered from Suzuki, E. Rodriguez was available today and cannot be canceled.
If only I had seen this post earlier, really not my lucky day !
