Im planning to buy the APV GA but after reading this thread it seems that repairs start as early as 30T km. Isnt it too early for a brand new car? The reason Im buying a brand new so no repairs for at least 4 years but it seems its not the case. I hope Im wrong and its just my impression from the thread. Pls help me decide. Thanks

Actually, repairs starts as early as 70,000kms naman hehehe.... My O2 sensor conked out somewhere during that time. All the other repairs within my first 70,000kms of ownership was shouldered by the warranty since I accumulate an average of 22,500kms yearly for my 1st 3 years of ownership. The only repair na hindi na-cover ng warranty sa ride ko during my warranty period was the ball bearing since I changed my rims and tyres immediately after purchase (may allignment issue din kasi yugn Type I APVs).

I've said this before and I'll say it again.... Suzuki cars, in general, does not break easily specially if properly maintained BUT, if they do break, prepare to shell a lot from your hard earned money as parts does not come cheap.

Also, TEST DRIVE, TEST DRIVE and TEST DRIVE!!!

Visit Club Suzuki Philippines' website for more details. Madaming ownership experience dun na siguradong makakatulong sa yo sa pag-decide.

stock mag wheel size is 14"... but you can put 18" or 19" mag wheels, just use low profile tires series 35 or 40..

    Hi Guys,

I'll be going to suzuki today or maybe tomorrow for my first maintenance. 6months na kasi yung APV ko, 2k+ pa lang yung odometer, usually magkano nagagastos pag pumunta at magpamaintenance.

    Thanks!

Mine is a 2009 SGX A/T. 34,500 km na sa odometer. Since 3 years/100,000 km naman ang warranty, sasagutin naman ng Suzuki yung problem na ito diba? 2nd time na ako nag warranty claim. First was a defect with the steering column. May knock ako naririnig pag dumadaan ng lubak. That was around 10,000 km at the odometer.

My mom is driving a 2008 Type 1 GLX A/T. So far wala naman problems. Mas laspag ng konti ang APV ko though since siya 3 years na pero 32,000 km palang pero ako in 2 years 34,500 na.

    Thanks!

hello boss, yep na-experience ko na din yan but on different ride.. problema nyan boss ay yung power window motor boss, reason why gumagana sa driver side is because naka-centralize mechanism ang windows nya.. kung magpapalit ka ng motor i have no idea how much.. kung sa casa it should be free of charge kung sakop pa ng warranty... and if di mo pa na-vovoid yung warranty sasagutin ng casa yan, i hope you know what i mean boss..

anyway, you can join us our forum at Club Suzuki Philippines Online Community - Index thanks!

That's why they recommended the break-in period (5000 kilometers) with up to 4000 rpm only when shifting (for sticks), to remove little less metal from moving parts until the correct tolerances are met, when that happens, the friction reduced thus improving power and fuel economy. When switching to synthetic oils, the engine is now much smoother running, crisp throttle response and fuel economy improved even further. Our APV's mileage is now 1300 kms. and Cebu is a very small place compared to manila and Luzon. I'll try to climb up the mountains similar conditions to Bagiuo with 8 souls with AC placed at #3 speed the temp. control knob pointing to blue area (colder) after 5000 kms with oil changed to syn oils. This is the time you'll test the APV's capabilities and you'll be surprised.
maayo buntag! ask ko lang update sa break in mo and if nag improve ba fuel consumption. by the way is your apv a GA or type II? salamat
