hi sir samtrooper, my APV is a M/T Type 1.. FC is between 9kms/li to 10kms/li on city driving. Best I did was around 14kms/li from Manila to Subic.

Team APV members reported their Type2 M/T is the same FC.. but A/T 's play around 8 to 10kms/li on city driving.

hi Sir Retz.. this is true.. some were advised to have a pre-break in of 1000... some CASAs say to go back na lang after the 5000kms travel.

Hi Sir Sam, sorry for the late reply.. exited lang ako sa funrun ng Club Suzuki Philippines..... hehehe. anyway.. on your question sir.. to be honest. APV parts are typically the same with other brands like honda, mitsubishi and the like.

there are also parts that are non-suzuki but applicable pa din sa APV.

a good example is one of our members had their 'timing belt' changed... medjo mahal daw sa casa yung timing belt.. what he discovered is parehong size daw yung pang honda... (not sure on the specific honda vehicle - city/jazz/ etc) but yeah.. it worked with no issues....

APV's engine is the old and sturdy G16A which is the engine of the old Suzuki Vitaras. which is for years nang very available here in the philippines.

if any particular part specifics.. please feel free to ask, ill be more than happy to research that specific part and reply back as soon as possible.

by the way... we have partner shops that has the original suzuki parts, and aftermarket parts that offer as low as 10% to 40% discount on original and aftermarket parts... i believe this is a huge help as well.

    Hi peeps,

I am happy to be part of this forum. We just got our APV GA and I need your TS skills to help me with the back seat. I don't know how to make the back seat into lstable position. There are two seat guards that make the seat immobile and I just couldn't get these open and fit into the assigned locks located at the bottom. We did'n't get this part during the demo since it was too late. Besides over excitement consumed me that time that was why I forgot to ask the technician. Please advise.

hi isabela... if i understand you correctly, in simplest terms, you cant have the rear seat locked?

if so.. you just need to lock first the "back of the chair" or "sandalan" to its locked position.. then next is the whole seat will lock onto the APV floor..

the whole seat will not engage its lock unless the whole seat (including the sandalan) is locked first.

also, its possible that the locking mechanism is blocked or in my case, a little snug fit due to the thick carpet that needs a little more "persuation" to lock it in.

    hope this helps...

    p.s.
pag tune-up po ba kasama pinapa-adjust ang valves? nabasa ko po kasi dito naka hydraulic valve ang angine ng apv natin. meaning di na kailangan i-adjust? ever since kasi na hinawakan ko ang apv ko (formerly my dad's car) eh di ko na pinaservice sa casa. and one time nagpa-service ako sa rapide ang sabi sakin di na daw ina-adjust ang valve nun so what they did nung tune-up is replace spark plugs and airfilter tapos change oil. tapos check nalang yung iba. ganun lang. tama po ba yun? salamat po ulit mga bossing

Hi Sir Ivan, regarding your question, oil level should be on the top hole when engine is cold.. then bottom hole when the engine is hot.. total of 3.5 to 4 liters ang laman ng oil dapat na ilagay.

in regards sa aux fan.. our oem fan has typically 2 speeds. upon cold engine start it typically dosent run. when engine turns just above its hot limit our fan turns on into its 'normal' speed.. when in traffic or when engine temps are higher than its specified normal range then it turns to its fullest.. or fastest speed.. and will revert back when attained the desired temperature..

im assuming when you were stuck in heavy traffic, it was a hot day? then your fan's speed tends to go faster as expected.. but on the vibration.. it should not be too much.. baka hindi balanced yung fan blades?

regarding its durability.. that i cannot assure you.. my APV is almost 3 years old, a daily drive, and currently passing its 45,000kms travel.. no issues on my aux fan as of now. got stuck in traffic number of times already.. even last sunday when i went to dasmarinas cavite from metro manila.

i got the same issue and reply sir ivan... when i was going for my change oil and learning about my engine, discovered that it was a hydraulic valve which number of shops that it dosent need any adjustments...

but one of our APV users also got their valve tappets checked and adjusted din sa casa.. paid around less than 300php. got mine checked and adjusted as well.. just to make sure..

im still in the 'grey area' regarding if it needs to be adjusted or what.... but im having mine checked again by my 45k change oil.. just to make sure. i was also thinking.. if the 'adjustment' that they are talking about is just 'tightening' those bolts also.. or whatever they do... as long as they check it and its in good running condition, im ok with shelling out 300php again..

another thing sir ivan, please check on the 'good squad' thread natin dito sa tsikot.. regarding - rapide... or search mo na lang..

    thanks!
