fuel consumption po nito around 6-8km/li sa automatic. manual should be more economical.
ride is on the firm side since leaf spring ang likod
downside? ang ayoko talaga dito sa apv is kailangan pa susian bago mabuksan ung fuel tank. hehe madami na po nawalang benta samen dahil olang dyan sa fuel opener. parang safety feature na din nya po iyun

pag nag pa gas ka naman pinapa off engine di ba for safety purposes daw. kaya ok lang kahit walang switch to open ang gas tank. Pero pwede ba ito magawan ng paraan para mag karoon?

guys, any update sa apv arena (the new apv model, hence apv gen 2)?

the engine of the new apv is G15A, 1.5L vs. our apvs today which is 1.6L (G16A). i believe that though SUV ang consumption natin, regardles kung a/t or m/t, masaya ako kasi vitara engine ito. the 1.5 L G15A is the engine that powers up the suzuki esteem wagon (natatandaan nyo pa yun)? hehehe.

Hi everyone, I have just registered here in Tsikot, find it very helpful..anyway im planning to get suzuki apv type II matic. Anybody who has an idea where can i get the best offer...so far suzuki Binan offer me the ff:
- roof rack
- back up sensor
- rain gutter
- dvd, w/ monitor that has a back view when you reverse
- lto (not sure if ok - will work it out pa daw)
price is P810...

Get at least 3 quotes from different distributors to be able to get the best deal.

I do not know about suzuki, but I am assuming that you can have the PMS at any suzuki casa. Even if you got your unit from a different dealership.

I'm planning to buy a bigger capacity vehicle and was considering Innova and Carens until I came across with Suzuki APV which is much cheaper. I'm planning on looking into the SGX A/T type II, which I think is the top of the line model(correct me please if I'm wrong). Just want to ask your opinions regarding it's performance.

1. Driving comfortability especially during long distance driving(hindi ba matagtag and maingay?)
2. Fuel Efficiency (km/L), city and highway driving
3. Maintenance cost and frequency
4. Durability and performance
5. After sales service and parts availability
6. Resale value

I'm an owner of a new black APV SGX II AT. Got the unit last Saturday. So far, I'm enjoying the ride. I'm quite surprised that the transmission of the AT version is very decent, above average even. Didn't quite like the shifting of the test drive unit. I only test drove it for 2 kms and maybe I did not have enough time to really adjust my driving style to it. Pero sa ngayon, the upshift from the first gear to the higher gears (and vise-versa) of my unit is quite smooth. I don't regret paying additional cash for the AT version.

The legroom of the second and third row seats is more than adequate. Lugi yung nasa harap. Hehe. The ride is quite smooth -- hindi siya matagtag kahit ako lang ang sakay. I have no idea yet about its fuel consumption but the movement of the fuel gauge needle is reasonable. Di naman nakakagulat. The noise insulation inside is exceptional. Tahimik sa loob kahit na nasa ilalim ng upuan ang makina. Heat insulation is also excellent. Hindi nga umiinit ang mga upuan. Di ko lang alam kung ganun pa rin siya after several years down the road. Sa akyatan, hindi naman underpowered. I still have to drive it uphill with seven passengers para magkaalaman talaga. Pero mukha namang hindi ako ibibitin nito dahil ramdam na ramdam naman yung low-end torque nung makina.

Some concerns:

1) I think it would be difficult to clean the engine. Obvious naman dahil nasa ilalim ng upuan ang makina. Nakakatakot gumamit ng tubig at cleaning solution dahil baka mabasa ang interior.

2) May "tok" sound actually parang mahinang "kronk" sound from a stand still position na nanggagaling sa harap. Naririnig ko lang ito from a cold start. Sa stop-start traffic wala na yung tunog. Although parang humina na ang tunog sa ngayon.

3) Di ko trip yung fabric ng upuan. Mas OK sana kung plain lang at hindi ekis-ekis na design. Yung APV ng kaibigan ko naka leather seat cover. Ang ganda tingnan. Elegante at mas luxurious ang dating. Gamitin ko muna yung free seat cover from the dealership before I decide to upgrade.

4) Yung electric mirrors (meron ba nito?) parang di ko mapagana. Yung seatbelt at open door warning light hindi rin gumagana. Baka may hindi naibalik yung nag-install ng alarm at backup sensor.

5) The coolant reservoir is on the left side while the radiator tubing and hose leading to it is oriented towards the right. Ngiwi tuloy yung hose (naka U-turn) papunta sa reservoir. I see this as a potential problem in the future because it will put stress (not to mention heat) on this very small hose. Sa owner's manual tama naman yung orientation niya.

Some questions:

1) How come the "engine bay" (under the hood) of my black APV is not black? How about you guys?

2) Regarding the Running-In period of the APV (refer to page 5-10 of the owner's manual), it says "drive the vehicle at moderate engine speeds" during the first 960kms of vehicle operation. How moderate is moderate? 2000 RPM? 3000 RPM? 4000 RPM?

3) May nakasubok na ba sa inyo ng paint protection for new cars gaya ng Ziebart Diamond Gloss o kaya namang Optiguard ng Big Bert's?

4) JVC KS-PD100 Ipod interface adapter for the head unit. Meron ba kayo nito?

Regarding the electric mirrors, may tatlong tuldok yun sa taas. Yung gitna ang 'off'. I-click mo either sa left or right dot depending on which side ang ia-adjust mo. After that, yung switch functions as a 'joystick' to adjust the mirror.

Leather seat cover, ang binabanggit sa akin nung agent ko from Pasig is Seatmate sa Mandaluyong. Di pa ako gaanong naka-research about that, ang nakita ko pa lang na magandang pic ng leather seat cover is yung gawa ng Leather Land. Sa innova thread ko nakita yun e. Balak ko din yan pero laspagin ko muna yung fabric seat cover hanggang makaipon ako pambili.

Engine bay, hindi din totally black yung sa akin.

Paint protection, balak ko din yan. Malamang next weekend. Balak ko yung new car paint protection ng Big Berts, mas mura sa Optiguard. Wala ako gaanong idea sa Ziebart e.

Running in period .... sabi ko na nga ba dapat binasa kong maigi yung manual e, huhuhu.....

Ako naman magtatanong. Yung 'canal' sa bubong ng apv natin sa magkabilang gilid, wala din bang 'lining' yung sa iyo?

Yung side moulding balak ko kumuha, 6K+ sa Pasig plus additional 2k+ for body color painting. Ang mahal! Kaso wala ako time maghanap ng ibang source. Mag-iba pa kaya presyo nun sa ibang dealership?
