    Akebono best experience so far.

I tried Project Mu before but it didn’t last long on my XT. Semi-metallic yung nakuha ko sa Autoplus before.

Bad experience ko sa Brembo. Oks sa simula but it caused the calipers to stuck up. The pads were gone after 10k km plus I had to repair my brake calipers.

The brembo brake pads I installed is a mixed bag. Maingay na squealing sound siya katagalan pag frequent braking like highway driving and mountain driving.

Hehe...both greens & reds got way better bite & leave less dust than stock pads, even against the Genuine Mazda ones by Akebono. Still UK-made.

    Try em...really good tsinelas.[emoji4]
Oh, I'm in no way connected to nor am selling EBCs....just 1 who've had relative comparison. On our truck, ditched the fade-prone stock Toyota pads & went Greenstuff 7000series. So improved.20180116_095443.jpgscreenshot_20230224_223848_chrome.jpgscreenshot_20230224_223940_chrome.jpg

Ceramic daw. Yun nakalagay sa box. I can't tell the difference when I installed these.

I think I'll go back to OEM or maybe I'll try Akebono.
Nagiging maingay kasi after long drive or after byahe sa mountain roads.

brake noise attributed to the recent replacement of disc pads are usually caused by glazing of the brake rotor surfaces. some oem brake pads like those of honda have a light coat of abrasive on the surface of the pad to aid in the deglazing of the brake rotor. new brake pads have to be burnished in to seat them to mate with the old brake rotor. other causes of brake squeal are stuck caliper slide pins (floating calipers) or sticking caliper slides (sliding calipers). simply installing disc pads without relubricating slides and prepping the reused brake rotors will usually result in singing front brakes

In my case I installed the brembo brake pads with brand new rotors, hell I even replaced the rubber protecting the caliper pin and greased the pin using OEM stuff. It is noisy after long drives only.

Try to remember if umulan ba ng malakas or if you washed the car/tire na nabasa yung rotors.
Baka from flash rust lang yun.
If that's the case, nalilinis as you use them kaya nawawala later on in the day...

were the new brake rotors cleaned off of the rust inhibitor prior to installing? this post is months old. is the car's brakes still behaving this way?
