Guys nag aacept ba ng trade-ins sa casa ng Subaru? Thinking of trading in my car kasi for an impreza. Thanks!
Di naman siguro. WRX lang nga ang sedan na dadalhin dito and not very markets even have the sedan version. I prefer sedans, though I'm perfectly happy with my crossover at maraming laman.
Yung sa trade-in, parang meron yata but I'm not sure. Why not ask/email them directly? For sure though low-ball offer yun.
when we got our subby, we asked about that.
no daw, but they'll be more than happy to find you a buyer. yung lumang trooper namin napunta lang sa buy & sell thanks to Jake. Ok naman the appraisal pero its not a price that will have you rejoicing....
hope that helped
Hi Guys,
Just want to ask what engine oil you use for your new imprezas? Is the shell semi-synthetic ok already (the one with the blue container)? Or do I go for the fully synthetic one (dark gray container)?
Thanks, all the best!
im still on the motul stuff since the day i got the car. thinking of changing. still doing some research and canvassingand due na pala for a third oil change
It says in the owner's manual, second oil change is due at 5k kms. I asked my agent about this during the first oil change at 1,600 kms. and he said no need for oil change at 5k since I was going to use fully synthetic oil anyway.
Did you guys have to go for an oil change at 5k?
Depends who you believe. MI techs insist na 10K is fine for normal use and full synth oil. Aftermarket mechs recommend filter change and top up every 5K with full replacement every 10K as Dr. Jay said (Hey, do you play bball? Joke).
I'm thinking the subbies can tempt a lot of owners into mashing the pedal and it's just plain safer to go with the latter. Pero ako, I used to go in between and change oil and filter every 7500 kms with semi-synth in my 02 Civic. Now, I do the same with full synth in my FXT.
got my 2.0R last week at MI... so far im happy with it doing 800 kms already. im going to tagaytay bukas and ilocos after para makapag-1,600 km checkup na![]()
hmmm... seems matagal na wala nagpopost dito sa thread na ito. c'mon guys... wala bang bago dyan? roadtrips, accessories or even problems... i'm more interested in the problems since i'm planning on getting a 2.0R next year hehehe
Based on a test drive of a 2.0R MT Hatch:
Overall the Impreza is pretty good if you're in the market for a 2.0 compact sedan/hatch.
The AWD means that there's still the lump in the middle of the 2nd row. This means u really won't be able to fit 3 adult-sized people *WELL* in the back.
Don't expect stellar fuel consumption numbers either - this was never Subaru's selling point anyway. You look to Toyota/Honda for that.
Found the clutch a bit too deep compared to the gas and the brake pedal. Could be 'sanayan' lang though. (My benchmarks for this are against my '09 civic, '96 pajero and '00 hiace van)
Overall, the Impreza's very good for a 2.0 compact. Absorbs bumps on the road while still providing enough driver feedback. Smooth gear shifts and short gear throws. Great steering. Comfortable seats and can't complain about the A/C and radio. Typical good build quality you'd expect from a Subaru.
