According to the spec sheet of Subaru, the Impreza AT actually has better fuel economy than the MT. The first day I got mine I filled it up with Petron E10. My wife and I went through a stretch of really bad traffic. According to the on-board FC computation, I was clipping 14.2 liters per 100 km, which is around 7 km/liter. I had the tank topped up with E10 again and computed the consumption manually and discovered I had done 6.5 km/liter.
I reset the trip meter when I went up to Tagaytay on Christmas Day and encountered semi-heavy traffic along SLEX southbound and again semi-heavy traffic northbound coming back to Manila the same day. The computer said 9.2 liters/100 km (10.8 km/l) when I got home from Tagaytay. Just a shade lower in FC than my 1.6-liter Lancer MX. I'm planning to go to Baguio after New Year. We'll see how it goes.
since your wife will also be driving, you have to consider her comfort too. Get the A/T and be a nice hubby. 50k lang naman e. It will do you lots of good. LOL
Hi enzodino,
I made a reservation today for the Impreza 2.0R A/T. The SA told me that the 70K discount wont be applicable next year( thanks again stormgray). They might even increase by 30K. Don't know if this is true, but just to be safe I placed a reservation, and made a post dated check for the full amount. I think they are open only till tom. Delivery will be by mid Jan they said.
I ordered steel silver, easier to keep clean. Yup, seems that I'm seeing a lot more imprezas around. Which is another reason why I chose it over the lancer ex. Its been more than 6 months, and you still don't see them around. It may seem exclusive, but parts would probably be hard to come by later on.
^ hey wes, I checked out the SCP forums, how much are the fees and what are the benefits of joining?
Just a quick report on my Impreza's FC during my weekend trip to Baguio based on the on-board FC computer:
From Paranaque to Baguio to Paranaque: 9.6 liters/100 km. (10.4 km/liter)
NOTE: Was at 8.6 liter/100 km. except that the winding streets and steep grade of Baguio streets really lowered the FC.
Best FC: 6.6 liters/100 km. (15 km/liter) - Tarlac City SCTEX to Balintawak. -max. speed 110 kph, but usually pegged at 80 kph, cruise controlled.
All in all, it isn't so bad. Pure city driving in Manila, I regularly register 12 to 13 liters/100 km. (around 7.6 to 8.3 km/liter).
within that range daig pa niya 90s model 1.3 corolla ng friend ko. yung 15kms/l city driving po ba yan?
^ Pure city driving mga 7-8 km/liter. Yung 15 km/liter sa SCTEX/NLEX. Conservative driving yun. (80-110 kph). Actually, the FC is about as good (even better at times) than my 2003 Lancer MX 1.6. Tama nga yung SA ng Motor Image when he told me that the Impreza 2.0 does about the same FC as a 1.6 car.
Hopefully it gets better after the 1,600 km. PMS.
maybe what he meant was a heavy 1.6 car lang
hmm that's nice na rin for a 2.0 somehow, manual po ba yan sir?
matipid nga ang suby pag long drive
i got 10km/L when we went to La Union, overtake galore and spirited driving * SCTEX![]()
7 - 8km/L naman pag city driving
