^^Thanks. I do love the LGT, and maybe not having the new Rex as an option was a blessing in disguise.

I think that's a nice deal they have on the Imprezas including the current WRX, which I still think is well priced in its category despite what I posted previously. Matter of fact, I considered it as well when I was first looking to get a Subaru. If they brought in the '09-10 model WRX, it might end up being closer to P2 million like the Legacy GT, so the current one being offered looks very reasonably priced. I also was told by an SA they might raise the price of the new STI coming in January.

I observed the same thing when driving the Subaru Legacy with the A/T in normal mode.

Also in Honda I experience that.. :-)

From back-reading this thread, it looks like the fuel consumption and maintenance costs are a bit higher than its rivals from Honda, Toyota, etc., but the Impreza makes up for it with its spirited drive and uniqueness, imho.

Define high maintenance. If you mean Euro cars high, then definitely NOT! PMS is even way cheaper than Mazda (compared to the Mazda 3 Executive my friend owns).

Fuel consumption is dependent on traffic and driving style which has been posted many times over.

Heavy city traffic is 6 km/li and mixed city (EDSA) and NLEX (Cruise control set to 120 kph) + Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan to San Jacinto, and back is 10.2 km/li on Caltex Gold.

I'm driving M/T.

MY2010 gains six (6) airbags, loses Hill Start Assist and Traction Control.

my observation is that under nomal AT mode (not sport mode), the transmission disengages the gear if it senses that you'll be stopping longer than usual. that's why when you release the break and step on the gas too quickly, there's this jerk that is experienced. i guess this is a regular thing for all impreza ATs coz everybody's experiencing this, i guess. maybe it's the car's way of saving fuel (?)

the jerk totally disappears though if you're engaged in sport mode coz the car should know that you'll be driving more spiritedly. hope this helps guys.

i have an e90 335i that does the same thing. just before coming to a stop may jerk kang ma fe-feel. may technical service bulletin ang BMW to cure this but as far as bmw's concern it is normal (search nyo sa E90post.com). nakalagay sa bulletin nila this is a normal thing and is only to be rectified when requested by the customer. the cause of this jerk is the lock-up torque converter disengaging.

If you mean anything other than the Impreza NA STi and 2010 Impreza STi Spec-C then wala pa. But there's a new model on the block, the 216A.
