Thanks Sir Egan, that sounds better.
For BPI, I think participation fee is around P4,000.
Is it the same as the price of a rear plastic bumper?
Kung bili na lang kayo ako ng plastic bumper and painstall?

Mas mahal pa dyan yung bumper. When I had my rear bumper repainted, Motor Image charged my Insurance 9k. No fees on my end as my neighbor caused the scratch.

So I availed the expensive engine detailing of Subaru on my last PMS.

Checked my dashcam footage after and saw them leaving my car running idle at the car wash for almost 30 minutes. When I notified them about it, they said it was to dry the engine and heat the wax. Anyone knows if that is true? I mean, can't they use a blower or something instead of wasting my gas?

Question is do you really need that detailing? Or is it something extra?

With my FXT, I never bother with an engine wash. I don't want any untoward incident where water or chemicals find their way into the turbocharger and wreck the engine.

The agent suggested it (kesyo ganyan, kesyo ganun). Looking back, I feel pretty stupid now falling for such tactics.

Lesson learned na lang, bro. Next time, only ask for the essential services to be done.

    Which casa ba ginawa?

There are so many bad customer service stories from the GH branch. I suggest to go to a different one like C5 or Manila Bay.

I never have my engines washed. I had it done once and the idle went rough immediately after. Never again.

Hey Guys, need your help as I'm no expert in Subaru resale value. I saw an ad for a pre-owned Forester XT 2017 model with less than 10k mileage, that is selling for 1.2M. Is it a good buy/deal?

Currently, the remaining units of 2018/19 FXT is selling at a discounted price of 1.8M at the Subaru dealerships.

I'm also thinking that because of the minimal difference in the looks and features of the two year models, I would be better off going the pre-owned route (well.. atleast financially).

Hope you can enlighten me with your inputs. Thanks in advance.

Check the seller first ... Avoid if it's a buy and sell agent ...

Subaru resale value is not as good as Toyota or Honda. Yes, some 2-year-old Forester XTs are priced at 1.2M. With less than 10k km on the odometer, that's a good price already knowing that around that time the XT costs around 2M brand new. Just make sure to check with the owner for a detailed maintenance history.

With the release of the new Forester SK platform, Motor Image put the remaining stocks of the XT (SJ platform) on sale. There are still buyers as the new platform is not offered with a turbo engine.

If you want to save more, some 2014 XT models are now priced around 800k but with odometer readings around 50k or more.

Good Pm. I asked CASA for the estimated cost of the maintenance for 5 years, the reply was around 168,000 pesos. Looking into XT. Is the 168k on the low side??, baka kasi abutin ng 200k yan.
In case, I buy the XT I want to maximize the 5 year warranty.

Is 168k for 5 years comparabble to other brands?

There are alternative shops where you can service your Subaru. Kung sa casa ka lang, sigurado susunod ka lang sa suggestion nila.

After 2 years, I had my FXT serviced outside already. I just follow the maintenance schedule stated on the manual.
