    Definitely the CX-5.

Until now, I'm still not sold on these micro SUVs, the ASX and XV. They're more nimble than most full-on CUVs, but then again, so are the cheaper and more loaded TOTL 2.0L compacts.

And besides, the CX-5 drives really well and still manages to have decent space and a good set of features

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. Personally for me, i agree with some that the best buy would still be the CX5. But one think that stops me from considering it is the looks. For me, i really dont like the design specially the front. I find it wierd. I find the cx7 much better looking than the cx5. The design of the XV is much more appealing for me. ASX is kind of nice looking for me. But one thing that i dont like on the XV is the trunk space. Its very limited much more that i travel a lot bringing some luggages all the time because of my job. But i really love the looks of the XV. SO until now im still trying to convince myself that the cx5 is not bad looking thinking that its the more practical one.

    Right now, im still confused.

    Thanks again. Cheers!

Ron...tell you what. I gave up convincing myself that the cx5 doesnt look bad. The front, as ive said before in other threads, looks like a smiling whale shark mouth. The side lacks strong character lines for its height...this is from a design POV. Simple cure would be side door mouldings but i doubt mazda has them now. Maybe theyre reserving that in future mmc. For me, the XV wins in the looks department. Thoug a lot would say its an impreza on stilts (which it really is), the impreza does look better in the crossover form than the sedan form.

Motor Image Pilipinas launches all-new Subaru Impreza
    20 Jul 2012 Printer-Friendly Version

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Motor Image Pilipinas launches all-new Impreza

Motor Image Pilipinas is the latest distributor to bring a new vehicle quietly to our market as it is finally offering the all-new Subaru Impreza.

The all-new Impreza's design echoes that of the midsize Legacy sedan with its hawk-eye headlamps, hexagonal grille, and aggressive wheel arches. Together with the low silhouette profile, this gives the car its sophisticated yet sporty personality.

The luxurious look continues inside, thanks to the cabin's high-grade finish as well as the multi-function display and steering wheel-mounted satellite switches with cruise control. The top-of-the-line model gets more opulent features like a sunroof, leather seats and a reverse camera system.

Subaru's third-generation 2.0-liter FB-series boxer engine powers the all-new Impreza with its 150hp and 197Nm output being transferred to the Japanese carmaker's signature Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system through either a six-speed manual transmission or a Lineatronic CVT.

Keeping the passengers safe are a six-airbag system, ABS with EBD, vehicle dynamics control system, and brake assist system.

The 2.0i Impreza with six-speed manual transmission is now available at P1.158 million, while the 2.0i-Sport variant can be had for P1.298 million.

Just curious, what's the difference of the 2.0i and the 2.0i Premium? For some reason, press releases make no mention of it. The Motor Image website doesn't look reliable since it's obvious that they just lifted it off the international site.

    From what I've researched:

    - HID w/ auto leveling headlamps
    - Power retractable side mirrors
    - Rear camera

Parang ang konti, I'm pretty sure I'm missing some stuff. Those aren't worth 100k...

*jut703, the multi-information display. this is an on-board computer that displays various information including VDC, maintenance, etc. Programmable too. Mine has been programmed by Subaru Fort for all the service info and reminders.

*buko4, both have sunroof/moonroof. The 2.0i has a privacy glass that the Premium does not have.

ArnoldC, are TINT and LTO the only freebies you got for the premium. Test drove XV last month haba pa ng pila asa 200 plus for the premium expected arrival December daw.

Unfortunately dahil sa high demand low supply wala daw discount.

    Hi jut...its more than that.

    HID with auto leveling
Power fold side mirrors with integrated signal lights
    Rearview camera
    Multi Information Dispay
    Aluminum Pedals
    Headlamp Washers
    Dual Zone auto climate control

Sunroof is standard on both variants. The only thing that the standard one has na wala sa premium is the privacy glass (which is weird by the way)

The difference in price is actually very slim vs. the feature differences (market value based and not cost based) hence more are ordering the premium grade. Its actually less than a 100k difference.

Not quite sure if related but when my friend replaced his Forester's HU the OEM sub under the driver's seat stopped working.

Diba may MID yung 2.0i? Just with less info (wala nung traction control LCD)?

Medyo okay nga yung differentiation ng 2.0i and ng premium. All the stuff that aren't there are simply "nice-to-haves" as opposed to must-haves. Siyempre, those with 1.478M to spare will go for the higher end one. Sulit na rin for 80k.

Yung sa 2.0i ba, Is it manual climate control or single-zone auto? Yung isang knob kasi, may degrees na nakalagay (17, 22, 27). Does it maintain that temp or it's just a rotary knob that sets blower strength?

That "MID" on the 2.0i is just the same as my 2010 Impreza, nothing much compared to a whole lot on the 2.0i Premium.

It is auto climate control, single-zone.
