Hello XV owners. I'm going to buy an SUV next year, most probably before flood season. We don't like big vehicles that may be difficult to maneuver, mainly because my wife's gonna use it more than me. One of my considerations is the XV. Price is okay, reviews are nice and it is still rare to see one on the road. My only fear is that maintenance could be too expensive. What is the schedule of the PMS? How much is the average cost? Are wear and tear parts easy to find outside the casa? If the fuel consumption is good enough to offset the higher maintenance cost compared to other brands (eg. Toyota Fortuner), then this would be a really good buy. Also, is the orange variant available in the lower spec'd model?
orange variant is only available for the premium model unfortunately..
maintenance cost is around 5-7k can be cheaper if you bring your own oil.
6 months or 5k which ever comes first
parts are easy to find outside of casa but not as easy as other japanese brands i suggest being a member of scp and subaru society to make it a lot easier
fuel consumption of the xv is aroun 8-10km/ltr
orange is only available for premium models.
nice review of the XV. Even has a pic of the trunk with bags in it which was one of the things I've been looking for.
Is there or will there be a desert khaki colored version of the XV here in the Philippines?
Hey guys, any thoughts on Forester 2.0XS vs XV Premium? Advantages, disadvantages of trim?
*renzo_d10: I want to get an orange xv but I couldn't coz I deal mostly with international investors, go to meetings and stuff. I really really love the color though...
*April_Ryan: If you live in the north, Why not try Subaru Pampanga? Naginquire ako dun, so far wala masyado pila...
You need a vehicle that is presentable in a formal business-like manner. A color orange XV would make it look playful and castual, not business-like.
The best colors for more "presentable" vehicles would be the neutral colors like white, black or silver.
People of high rank in a business need to have a vehicle they can use for business meetings. It is something like your wardrobe. If you are the manager, then you need to dress like one and have a vehicle fitting the rank.
Not sure if this is appropriate to post here but there's a 2-month old orange XV premium for sale.
It's posted at the Subaru Club Phils. (SCP) forum, for those interested.
Just to clarify, I am not the seller - just a curious onlooker & auto enthusiast - so please direct all queries to the rightful owner/seller.
Is the headroom of the XV at par with or lower compared to sedans?
There are complaints online about the CVT noise on the XV. Is it really noisy or is it just the normal whine that most ATs have?
Hey guys! Finally got my XV! :grin2: Thank you all for the help! :loopy:
