I just saw this in the streets of cebu! Stunning po talaga. I saw the orange one. For me, its a killer indeed.
Still waiting for my unit. Reserved last April 12 sa Motor Image Greenhills. Losing patience already. Nakakainis palayo ng palayo delivery date - from May to June. Ngayon update ng SA baka sa July pa raw!?
test drove both the XV and the Fozzie....got a bit disappointed with the XV in terms of space and comfort.
felt a bit cramped/suffocated inside the XV, 6'0 ft pa namn ako...felt more spacious in my civicfd and felt more refined un Fozzie....sayang porma pa nman nun XV....huhuhu....but how can i enjoy it if i dont feel happy and relaxed inside hahaha....but i love the paddle shifts and the engine feels smooth with the CVT transmission
funny thing...mas binebenta pa ng SA un fozzie kesa sa xv in terms of refinement (or maybe it's just me?)...which i agreed after test driving both....sana lumaki lng ng onti un xv hahaha....
might go for the fozzie nlng....excited to become a first time Subie owner!![]()
guys, just a question. both the premium and the base model have no start/stop button right? thanks.
Was at Motor Image Greenhills today. I saw 1 deep cherry pearl, 1 satin white pearl, and 1 dark grey or black pearl. Not sure of their variants.
There is also 1 tangerine orange pearl Premium in the showroom*.
*their showroom doubles as an annex to the small stockyard they have on the third floor. Units on display in the showroom have been appropriated and will be released the soonest.
To those who PM'd me I apologize for the late reply. I'll just post it here instead.
Here was my previous initial thoughts about the XV (late March)
1. Driving feel. I use it for cruising and some spirited driving. The first thing that strikes me is 'no stress' driving. The vehicle is very light and fun to drive. I've driven it to Lucao, Pangasinan, and Tagaytay. In every instance it was always a relaxing drive. I've overtaken vehicles on both occasions and I'm happy with the response.
2. Fuel consumption, in the city with light traffic and distances 8-10km consumption is usually 10li/100km. In the long drives, I was able to achieve best real-time performance of 6.2li/100km (Makati to NLEX Balintawak toll). Full trip recording is around 8li/100km. Tagaytay was 9li/100km due to bad traffic and even more spirited driving.
3. Handling. I don't own a Forester so I can't compare. Compared to my Impreza, I am happy with the confidence it gives me. The anti-rebound system minimizes roll and I can attest to that. I feel the same confidence in cornering as the my Impreza AFTER I've installed the Swift Sport Springs and replaced the stock of the Impreza. The vehicle dynamics control is very helpful and in every driving I'm trying to deliberately engage them. It's giving me the stability in braking and running over uneven roads. I can 'see' them in action via the multi-information display.
Update:
I've driven my XV to Caylabne and Sierra Madre. It continues to impress me in terms of handling. That is compared to my 2010 Impreza 2.0R Sports.
Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. Personally for me, i agree with some that the best buy would still be the CX5. But one think that stops me from considering it is the looks. For me, i really dont like the design specially the front. I find it wierd. I find the cx7 much better looking than the cx5. The design of the XV is much more appealing for me. ASX is kind of nice looking for me. But one thing that i dont like on the XV is the trunk space. Its very limited much more that i travel a lot bringing some luggages all the time because of my job. But i really love the looks of the XV. SO until now im still trying to convince myself that the cx5 is not bad looking thinking that its the more practical one.
Right now, im still confused.
Thanks again. Cheers!
