Its a new oem clutch fan manufactured by gmb for Ssangyong.

Thr fan clutch does not depend on external switching, right? It depends on the ambient temp to engage.

The mb100 only has one oem electric fan, and its for the a/c. It turns on when the a/c is turned on.

Sir Ilang rows po ba ang radiator niyo? sakin dati 3 rows pero nag expand siya dahil sa nabingkong ang cylinder head ko at dahil don hindi nakaka detect ng enough heat ang fan clutch ko kaya lagi siya nag free wheel kahit na mainit na ang engine ko... another 1 kung lagi po nag free wheel ang fan clutch ko I may suggest na kahit bago po ang fan clutch niyo at OEM eh dagdagan niyo nalang po ng Silicone oil para hindi na po siya mag free wheel dag-dagan niyo nalang po ng 3 pa Silicone oil para tumigas na hindi na mag free wheel I know na mas maganda na mag free wheel siya pero kung mag overheat naman siya lagi at hindi maka detect ng heat ang fan clutch po mas maige na wag na mag free wheel walang overheat menos gastos po.

ang gamit ko po ngayon ay 2 rows na radiator pero parang 3 rows na din po kasi makapal pala po ang pagka 2 rows ng OEM na radiator... pina repair ko po yung luma ko radiator at ipina tanso ko po yung ibabaw na dati ay plastik... I hope nakatulong po ako...

Sa Tchometer sir check niyo po yung maliit na wire sa me alternator baka nahugot lang sa alternator po kasi nakuha ng reading ang tachometer ng MB natin... about sa cone type na power flow para sakin mahirap dahil una sa lahat mababasa po siya pag umulan at maingay po....

check niyo din po mga tensioner pulley and tensioner... lagyan niyo din po ito ng grasa yung malaking bolt ng tensioner... fuel filter po i check niyo din po at mga suspensions... kung wala naman po kalog or ingay sa lubak wala po problem yan... mga brake pads din po check niyo din... sa bilihan ng piyesa wala po ako alam diyan sa Bacolod dito po kasi sa manila goodgear, apic at fronte po alam ko bilihan ng piyesa ng MB natin

Same color din tayo sir pala at silver din with bumper gaurd sa harapan. Medyo mahirap din mag source out ng pyesa dito from bacolod. Ang bando din sir na brand ng belt ok po ba?? naputulan ng belt kasi ang MB. 1,6t ang presyo dito sa auto supply, i read sa mb club website mga 700 plus lang presyo

sir madami pong factors kung bakit napuputol ang fan belt... lever arm, roller, tensioner shock, bolt, etc... may cause po yan kaya naputol.... baka po maputulan kayo ulit....

advice ko lang sir... check nyo lahat... or much better kung palitan nyo na lahat ng nabangit ko... dito po sa fronte aabutin ng 6K lahat lahat po yun kasama na fan belt.....

Sirs need some help. In the past three months the following work has been done on my unit. New water pump, new clutch fan with blade, radiator overhaul, new thermostat, new coolant jug, change all fuel filters, change oil and coolant, etc. I think may other smaller works done but I've forgotten.

Now my problem is at sustained speeds above 120kph, the temp will sometimes go over the 1/2 line marker but it's still in the white zone. Either it's not really going into the red or I've never had enough time to run at top speed to enter into the red zone. Slowing down lowers the temp immediately. Sometimes (e.g. sustained 120kph) temp will go a bit above 1/2 and I will hear the fan clutch kick in (loud jet like noise). After temp lowers, clutch fan quiets down.

And when I'm running at speed (e.g. on EDSA Balintawak) and I suddenly encounter stop and go traffic (e.g. Monumento) the temp hits the 1/2 line marker also. It doesn't really go 3/4 and once I start moving it goes back to below 1/2.

I don't think I'm loosing any significant amount of coolant. Siguro just add less than a tabo every week or so.

Do you think 'fixing' the fan clutch (removing its freewheeling feature) will help keep my temps down? How is fixing of the clutch fan done without resorting to welding? My pal says you just need to insert some metal in the cavity that holds the silicone oil?

Na experience ko din ito before, kapag below 100kph takbo ko, OK ang temperature pero kapag above 100kph na tumataas na rin ang temp..
Inalis ko thermostat at ganun pa din....

Tanong tanong sa Goodgear (Arnel) at sabi palinis ko radiator.... Since more than 15 years na rin ang radiator ko, I decided to replace it with a new one, 3 rows radiator na kinabit namin.. (BTW mine is Ssangyong with 2 rows radiator)...After that no more overheating problem at high speed....
Ang problema after installing the new radiator, LOW TEMP naman, specially during night driving...lalo na kapag sa Tagaytay at Baguio....

Reason: Hindi namin nai-balik yung thermostat..... Ng maibalik na yung thermostat,, maintain na yung temp slightly below the 1/2 mark..

boss palitan mo yung master cylinder at secondary cylinder clutch.. palitan mo ng buo wag yung repair kit lang.. buo na pati cylinder..

Sayang lang daw kung ikakabit nya at sisirain lang din daw ang belt. binaklas nya ang water pump and yun nga pag inikot, maganit at maingay na ang tunog. Nandito ako now sa bacolod city kaya medyo limited ang availability ng parts. Nakapag canvass ako ng new water pump and 2,1t ang presyo. ASk lang ako mga sirs if this is the actual price din dyan sa manila or mahal dito benta nila. Is it advisable to take out the thermostat na din kaya? I think 2 rows lang din yata ang nakakabit sa van kasi parang original pa yata ang radiator na nakakabit at plastic pa ang pang taas.

Hindi ko talaga nadidinig yung usual na ugong ng fan clutch pag engaged Kapag pinihit ko by hand while parked, eh may resistance naman pero hindi ko alam ang exact resistance dapat. Basta hindi siya gagalaw mag isa pag binitawan. Pero wala talaga yung ugong niya pag engaged.

Sir OTEP minsan po talaga nasa Radiator ang problema mahirap I explain pero ang sagot lang po dyan para sakin kung bago lang po naman linis ang radiator and everything, hindi naman po kasi biro yung pera na ginagastos sa maintenance ng van natin... kung ok lang po sainyo na laging naugong/engage ang fan niyo mag-dagdag nalang po kayo ng silicone oil sa fan clutch para lagi na siya naka engaged... ginawa ko po na yun dati 5 silicone oil po ang nilagay ko that time nagka doble-doble pa po noon ang gastos ko naka bili din ako ng original na fan clutch... ang dinag-dagan ko po ng silicone oil eh yung luma ko muna kung baga nag test muna ako kung gagawin ko ba yung tataas ba ulit ang temperature or hindi na at ang result ok naman kaya nung nagka budget ulit ako para mapa lata ko po yung ibabaw ng 2 rows ko saka ko po ikinabit yung bago kong fan clutch na original para pag malamig nag disengage siya at pag mainit nag engage yung fan...

Pero sa foreign forums may sinasabi din silang adjustment na pwede gawin dun sa thermal spring sa labas ng fan clutch para mas maaga mag engage.

But if adding more silicone helps it engage faster, im going that route. Sabay rad overhaul na din siguro since naka baba na. Hehe
