I misjudged Japan. Their defense was very tough and were very surgical with their free kicks. I thought the first one by Honda was great. But, the curling banana by Endo was even better.

Great job, Japan. That makes two Asian teams in the knockout phase.

I'll still root for the US against Ghana. But personally, Ghana's going to be a lot tougher to crack. Then again, I didn't expect the US to make it past group play.
