Alam ko ito ang pinaka sikat at pinaka pinapanood na sporting event sa mundo! Much more than the Olympics itself! I tried watching it pero wala eh. I find it boring, most matches ending up in draw and some matches they don't even score. The ball just goes back and forth then back and forth... ANd after 80 minutes walang nagyari! I find it boring talaga compared to let's say basketball where there are buzzer beaters and even American football is more exciting...

Some of the opening fixtures maybe but not on the knockout stage, last 16 where you can see why it is the most popular sport. ako gusto ng gusto ko yung penalty shootout, dun mo makikita galing ng bawat goalkeeper

To qualify for the Finals (32 countries) is not an ordinary feat, kahit pinaka mahinang team dyan hindi kayang talunin ng SEA GAMES champion.

hehe true. medyo mabagal ang laro. but just like any sport, tingin ko it's the appreciation of the skill involved. hanep rin kasi yung ball control na gamit ang paa or ulo lang (if making a curve ball with your hand is hard, what more with a foot?). and the effort that each player puts into for a goal or defending a goal is really amazing. kaya kahit 0-0 ang laban, naaappreciate pa rin ng fans.

isipin mo yung size ng goal parang isang 20 foot container van. tapos ang laki laki ng field so kalat ang players, yet ang hirap makascore. so kahit makalapit lang or may close missed attempt exciting na. dagdag mo pa yung rough play and fighting for country kaya madaming nanonood.

Siguro mas ma-appreciate ko if Philippines was there pero other countries duking it out and being scoreless for so long, I tend to just change the channel...

soccer fans are ***ier than most sports fans. brazil, latin americas, spain, portugal .

I'm a fan of this paraguay fan.

Nothing on TV right now but the World Cup.

The Japanese team won against Cameroon (strongest team in Africa) so everybody's celebrating over here.

Fan na rin ako ng fan na ito........

Yeah, soccer is somewhat boring. After 90 min. of play, sometimes score nila 1-0 lang. Isa pang medyo boring yung baseball.....

yes, you have to at least play a game of soccer to appreciate it.
when you do, you'd appreciate the effort and skill involved for every
    position in the field.
watch the movie victory (stallone, pele..), might help you appreciate it more.

lahat naman pinaghihirapan. its not an easy sport lalo na paa lang ang ginagamit which is not norm to us humans.

if you have discipline you attend training on time, the coach will love you, but discipline without passion there is no learning. you should learn to love the sport too.

Don't get me wrong, iba kasi yung ikaw naglalaro at iba rin kung nanonood ka lang... Yung sinasabi kong boring is pag nanonood ka lang like sa TV...

So it's Spain VS Netherlands in the Finals

Ok, hindi kumpleto ang thread pag walang ***y lady.

Sara Carbonero - official reporter for the spanish team

    funny story:
***y TV presenter Sara Carbonero blamed for Spain's World Cup defeat in the early round

mabuti napunta ang spain sa finals.

Here she is reporting behind her goalkeeper boyfriend.

Now here is Paul the octupus predicting the finals.
