What are you talking about dude?
Key of Sun's loss last year against Dallas was 1) Fatigue (game 7s), 2) Bell out, 3) Kurt out.
How can you say they can't win in speedball format where most teams this season is adopting the international fast-game format?
Spurs are a running team considering their front court size, they don't go slow like the Heat, and Dallas, c'mon, when did Dallas not run? They still don't post up, who will they post up with? Damp and Diop? Mavs are tough coz they're fast and big.
The point is still, Suns shouldn't have rushed Amare back without him being the Amare of old. Nash's time will run out soon and wasting the first half of the season just trying to get your highest paid young phenom back into shape is surely a waste of talent and time for Marion and Nash.
Why not just friggin sit Nash and Marion down so that Amare can take his time trying to prove that he's the same Amare as 04? Plug Banks, Barbosa, whoever-sf-you-want, Diaw and Amare as starting five, that way he'll still be "the man" and he can get most of the touches.
Suns win with Nash's decisions and the team's overall speed, they were the highest scoring team, highest FG team, highest FT% team last year, the only team in history to do those things, the past 2 years, Phoenix has been a big threat in the west, this season, opponents can just bank on attacking Amare on D and keeping him from running down the court to slow the whole team down.
Diaw's stats suffer because he no longer has the advantage of playing C in a SF's body since he is playing SF/PF positions in game most of the time unless Amare's out and he plays with Kurt.
How can you dismiss Sun's 2 year dominance in the running game and still think they can't win with that style of play?
Just because they shot a lot of 3s doesn't mean they didn't score well inside, you can't shoot a high FG% SEASON without scoring efficiently inside.
Most guys think that "good inside game" simply equates to post ups and half-court drives.
You get a lot of inside scoring through drive and dishes just like how Tony Parker and Wade does it.
Miami didn't have a strong inside game if they simply post up Shaq and Walker either.
Why should you waste a 2-time MVP's game to fit an injured "prospect"?

The Suns were first in the league in the following last season:
FG Made
Efficiency
FG Percentage
3PT Attempts
3PT Made
FT Attempts
FT Made
Offense
Assists
They were 3rd overall in defensive rebounds, 10th overall in total rebounds, 12th overall in blocks.
Unless Amare comes back with at least 15/12/2 or something throughout the season, all other Phoenix players stats and groove will be affected.
It can't be a coincidence that last year's stable starters (Bell, Diaw) dropped their stats significantly across the board this season.
