T.J. Ford is no Steve Nash (oft injured, TO prone, no consistent jumpshot) Raptors don't have enough shooters but we'll see. What they have is a lowpost stud in Chris Bosh.

    hehe, ang liit ni CP.

these guys seriously need to restore the honor of USA basketball. it's in serious trouble. the most critical guys to get on the team are the pure point guards - Paul and Hinrich. with those guys running the point the US can build the right shooting and low-post pieces for a killer offense. basta the emphasis needs to be on shooting, playmaking, motion and perimeter defense.

correct me if i'm wrong but looking at the line-up of the us team, it seems that they don't have a true 7 foot player. brad miller is listed at 7 feet but i think he's more like 6'11 something. it may bring about problems in rebounding against freakishly tall teams like china imo.

    Tumanda si Nash hehe.

Regarding rebounding, a lot of 7 footers aren't strong enough to box out PFs in the NBA anyway, I wouldn't worry about that... What's killing the US Bball teams in international settings is their offense (too much isolation drive/dunks and not enough mid/long range shooting).

Many international teams thrive with their outside shooting anyway, so rebounds are usually longer.

I'm sure Team USA isn't worried about the Chinese National Team even with Yao Ming on board (is he?), they are worried about Argentina, Italy, Spain, and other Euro teams. With Billups, Chris Paul and Kirk Hinrich, Team USA will be SOLID in the backcourt and ofcourse King James in on board for some highlight reel dunks. Too bad Kobe isn't playing (surgery on his knee), it would be fun to watch Kobe and Lebron at the wings.
