big day for the heat today

they signed Shaq to a 5-year $100 million deal...believe it or not, this is a pay cut for the Big Free throw Bricker. the heat now have $10m more a year in cap space to lure free agents. great team player move by the Diesel (especially when Wade's extension is due)

I wonder what's next for the Heat? Trade ang coach for GM (S. Van Gundy for Pat Riley)

Ngayon uli ako ng bukas ng ESPN. Lots of player movement.

    - Antoine Walker to Miami is an interesting scenario, will they start him at the point, SF or PF? He'd be a liability on defense on those 3 spots. hehehe, Jason Williams might come of the bench because of his defensive liabilities. James Posey is also a nice addition.

    - Bobby Jackson to Memphis, Bonzi Wells to Sacto. Jackson is oft-injured, Wells is a headcase, it remains to be seen which team got the better of the deal.

antoine can play the point too.
i think he can play third option to shaq and flash. a nice addition imho (wag lang lalaki ang ulo ala glen rice)

collateral damage lang si white chocolate i think si james posey ang gusto talaga ni riley.

Pwede rin ganito ang first five nilla

    C shaq
    PF haslem/walker
    SF-walker/posey
    SG-wade/posey
    PG-wade-jwill

pwede din si Pose sa SG and Wade at PG, White Chocolate as back-up PG. Thats their big line up. The Heat are loading up for another run at the title.

yup PK currently the biggest trade in nba history, involving 5 teams and 13 players

Aside from Walker, a three-time All-Star, the Heat also acquired point guard Jason Williams and small forward James Posey from Memphis while the Grizzlies received guard Eddie Jones from the Heat.

Miami also received Andre Emmett from Memphis and the draft rights to Roberto Duenas of Spain from the Hornets; Utah received Greg Ostertag from Memphis; Boston picked up Curtis Borchardt from Utah and a package -- Qyntel Woods, the draft rights to Spanish center Albert Miralles, two second-round draft picks and cash -- from Miami; New Orleans acquired Rasual Butler from Miami and Kirk Snyder from Utah; and the Grizzlies received guard Raul Lopez from the Jazz.
teka bat 12 lang ang bilang ko?

nagpalakas din ang nets by adding shareef abdul talim and jeff mcinnis
houston adding more height in stromile swift

The Wizards traded Kwame "the big disappointment" Brown and guard Laron Profit to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday for forward Caron Butler and guard Chucky Atkins.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed guard Von Wafer, a second-round draft pick, on Monday.
Wafer averaged 10.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 61 games over two seasons at Florida State.

also jerry buss still scratching his head how'd he lost shaq (who had just have a pay cut from his salary)

In fairness to Jerry Buss, an overweight, injury prone Shaq WAS asking for the Max contract which would max out to around 33+Mil/year (virtually eating up around 3/4 of the salary cap), it started at preseason with Shaq yelling at Buss "Pay Me"... and ended with a Lakers losing to the Pistons in 5.

Largest trade in NBA history sends Antoine Walker to Miami

MIAMI (AP) -- In the largest trade in NBA history, Antoine Walker was dealt from Boston to Miami on Tuesday night in a transaction involving five teams and 13 players.

The Heat also acquired point guard Jason Williams and small forward James Posey from Memphis, while the Grizzlies received guard Eddie Jones from the Heat. The New Orleans Hornets and Utah Jazz were also involved in the deal.

The trade was larger than a 12-player, four-team deal in 2000 involving Patrick Ewing that had been the biggest in league history.
