Exactly. My assumption is everyone has the virus. I don't even touch my own Mom, kahit 93 yr old Lola ko, so heartbreaking when she said she wanted to see me and I said I can't kasi I don't know if I'm asymptomatic.

I promised myself yesterday, no more buying food sa groups. First week ng lockdown pahirapan to buy food, ngayon naman too many choices. Yung chat ko with friends, parang yung food hunting na lang kaligayahan namin Among my neighbors naman we send food to each other

I also have mitral valve prolapse but my old cardio said that's inborn and nothing to worry about. Still my heart isn't perfect

At the start of the lockdown, I was expecting that after a few weeks, people will be on the streets begging, or worst, looting, robbing people’s homes for food. But it never happened.

What I witnessed were long lines at supermarkets and money remittance centers. These are clearly the lower middle class and the very poor lining up. So after all, may pera pa din kahit pinakamahihirap?

A lot of the big expenses - rent, amortization, utilities - have been put on hold so people were able to spend what little they have left (if they had no savings) into essentials.

BPI has not deducted from my home loan for 2 months now so that's almost a year's worth of groceries.

Of course, no such thing as a free lunch. So the banks, lessors, and utility companies will come chasing once gov't says it's ok to do so. Many will default and be delayed in their payments.
