Purest form of GREED.
SM boss bats for ‘gradual return’ of businesses, transportation services | ABS-CBN News

Initindihin din natin sila. Sooner or later mauubusan na ng manufactured goods and foodstuff, yes automated na karamihan pero may human operator pa rin yan.
Totoo naman na most businesses should restart gradually after this ECQ. Not all are paid to work from home.

Not eradicated, because it will not happen until a vaccine is created.
There should be no deviation from the purpose of the lockdown, not even gradual return of businesses (donuts! really? , starbucks!) not until the desired results are fully met. Let's not waste the 3 weeks (and counting) of sacrifices just to satisfy these greedy billionaires as if they genuinely care for their employees.

Food manufacturers are exempted from ECQ.

After ECQ, yes, but not before.
Food manufacturing will eventually stop if we don’t restart the other related businesses. Food manufacturing will need packaging materials, their machineries and equipemt will eventually break down and will need replacement parts and machine shops, their delivery trucks will eventually break down and will also need spare parts and machine shops.
It is not greed. It is survival. If all other businesses remain closed, then food manufacturing will eventually halt to a stop. Even agricultural products won’t get to the market with broken down delivery trucks.

This was after ECQ extension announcement, they suggested to end the current ECQ and replaces it with their own calibrated approach.
The calibrated approach may not be a problem if we have the same discipline as the Japanese or Taiwanese, sadly most of us are not.
Let's do our part to prevent a 2nd wave, frontliners are already tired and exhausted, some died on duty, most for a measly P500/day(or less). If you are affected so am I, my spreadsheet is all red for the next 3-4 months. No income with bills to pay.

A double edged sword strategy for me.
It’s an issue of trying to eradicate a threat and how to bring sustainability on certain industries.
Whatever the case, after the ECQ is lifted, expect people to enter the rat race once more. The flip side of Filipino resiliency.
