Personally, I think tapos na itong pandemic by next year. It's either mawala siya or somebody will come up with one vaccine for all variants kahit mag mutate pa. I think scientist and doctors knowe enough na about covid to fight it.

tingin ko naman di matatapos ang pandemic dahil di sila titigil sa pag-sa-swab

araw araw mag rerelease ang doh ng daily new cases

the media will keep reporting it

kahit wala na halos namamatay as long as meron virus nadedetect sa ilong ng mga tao di sila tittigil

it will take time to unwind the mindset na nadevelop during the pandemic

We should aim higher for herd immunity if our current target is 70% we should target at least 80 to 90% because we should consider also percentage error meaning the vaccine was not injected or not properly injected and people assume they are fully vaccinated.

hindi rin titigil case manipulation. Kahit di covid ang death cause, isasama parin sa covid deaths.

I hope it will end as well. I'm tired na rin sa lockdowns and quarantines. This new "normal" is totally BS. Daming nawala at nag close na companies, same with the recent closure announcement of auto center.

Personally I think DOH should change their reporting format. It is always the same since they start counting number of cases.

South Korea planning to live 'more normally' with COVID-19 after October

The government expects to implement the plan sometime after late October, when 80% of its adult population likely will have been vaccinated. As of Tuesday, South Korea had given at least one vaccine dose to 70.9% of its adult population, while 42.6% are fully vaccinated.

South Korea extended national social distancing curbs to Oct. 3 this week as the country boosts its vaccination campaign ahead of a thanksgiving holiday that falls later this month.

Restrictions in place include limited operating hours for cafes and restaurants and on the number of people allowed at social gatherings.

i believe the more accurate term is not "absorb", but "retain".

pero hindi ba kayo ang nagdedemand huwag muna bumalik sa normal dahil mataas ang cases, overwhelmed mga ospital ?

gusto bumalik sa normal ang business sector lalo mga nasa leisure/recreation/entertainment/travel/tourism

pero due to insistent public demand huwag muna daw mag luwag

for me sa near future kailangan mag bago ang tingin ng authorities, media, and public sa covid

    ung parang TB, flu, sipon

hindi ung napaka special at napaka big deal ng covid

coz if we don't move away from that mindset di matatapos itong pandemic

Looking back what can be done to stop this covid virus from spreading like wildfire. Maybe lockdown wuhan and all country borders until the cases drop down to zero in wuhan?

Those are gas mask type with tubes connected to a battery powered filter unit usually strapped in the belt. I have seen a few doctors use it in the hospital. not sure if its better at filtering viruses than a N95 mask but i think it makes them easier to breathe.

Yeah, DOH should just shut up. Leave us all be. Then parang yung sa Duterte thread, hahanapin dito, "what happened to that guy pala,... he/she used to post here a lot...". Oh he/she is deads of... you know the disease that can't be mentioned.

we were talking about if the pandemic will end next year

for me -- there's the actual pandemic and there's the psychology that was developed during the pandemic

i'm saying even if the actual pandemic ends, the psychology will linger

kahit halos wala na namamatay sa covid globally, the habit (or obsession) to test people will continue

they will keep detecting sarscov2 in people's noses and will keep reporting cases

they will keep tracking viral evolution and keep reporting variants

and the media will keep running covid stories

    habits die hard
