kung na-injectionan ka ng vax containing instructions to make wuhan spike, the antibodies generated will be specific to wuhan spike
those antibodies don't change
if you want antibodies that are specific for delta spike, either mahawa ka ng delta o mabakunahan ka ng delta-specific vax (which don't exist yet... maybe meron sa lab pero wala pa mass production)

Philippines orders 10 million more Sinovac jabs | Philstar.com
OO nga, dapat Pfizer or Moderna na yung bulk na bilhin. The Philippines has ordered 10 million more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Chinese drugmaker Sinovac Biotech, the official in charge of the government’s vaccine procurement program said.
Galvez said the government has also negotiated with American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer to deliver some 5 million doses in September. Authorities are also in talks with US biotech firm Moderna to deliver three to four million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine.
He earlier said that the government will focus on procuring more shots made by Pfizer and Moderna, but it will remain open to buying additional doses from Sinovac.
Its either Election time. hehe or is it because Sinovac is the only one consistently delivering vaccine to us every month since April.
I mentioned it here before. Vax companies always update their vax. There are even vax that contain more than 1 strain & I wouldn’t be surprised if they did this in the future. They even custom make vax to the region where the variants are prevalent (South Africa - Beta variant vax). Maybe they don’t have the time to do this now but definitely, it will be made.

J&J Says Covid-19 Booster Shots After Eight Months Supported by Data - WSJ
Johnson & Johnson said Wednesday that a second dose of its Covid-19 vaccine was found in a study to generate a strong immune response, justifying a booster shot after eight months.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said it expects single-dose J&J vaccine recipients would need boosters but has held off on making recommendations as it awaits more data. Wednesday’s findings are expected to inform the U.S. booster strategy set to begin in September, when the U.S. plans to begin offering boosters to people who received messenger-RNA vaccines. Later it is likely to expand the program to include J&J’s viral-vector vaccine.

i know they will make variant specific vaccines
my concern now is the boosters being used now are still wuhan-variant based vaccines
baka may risk ng antibody dependent enhancement coz medyo iba na ung virus na nilalaban
So the family of our ninang in our wedding had covid, & the husband just passed away. They were supposed to get vaccine shots but declined because it was Sinovac. They were able to get Moderna at a later date, & just had one shot pa lang. I wonder if the husband would still be alive had they chosen to push thru with Sinovac in the first place.
