i have noted before,
that they should report numerators as well as denominators.
they report on new cases, but they fail to say how many tests they made.

i think it's a coincidence.

if one wants to see how things are really going,
one has to see larger numbers spanning longer periods of time than day-to-day figures.
i figure, weekly figures. they should be less sensitive to variations or idiosyncrasies of submissions of data.
also, numbers of new cases aren't easy to compare if one didn't know the numbers of tests done...

Wala yata sa IATF guidelines ang liquor ban. It's up to the LGU to declare a liquor ban. Like in Makati, hindi yata nagkaroon ng liquor ban even if naka ECQ.

DOH is always being called up by Leachon for massaging the data and always some labs are late or not submitting the results.

Before the IATF meeting mababa ang cases for optics, tapos magdecision saka inilabas yung real data.

Opinion ko lang. OCTA’s stats & projections may be right but, I just feel that they should be feeding the DOH & the IATF their data & work with the 2 agencies & not be like a loose cannon saying one thing while the Gov’t says another. Nakakalito at nakakabahala.

I think it's the other way around. DOH and IATF should work with OCTA. Sila mag-initiate para hindi sila ang napag-iiwanan. Na-iinsecure ang DH tingin ko e. Mali yan, theye should lead, not follow the lead of OCTA at pwede nila kausapin yan na sumunod sa kanila (yun eh as long as maayos naman pamamalakad kasi).

India gives emergency approval for world's first COVID-19 DNA vaccine

India's drug regulator has granted emergency use approval for Zydus Cadila's COVID-19 vaccine, the world's first DNA shot against the coronavirus, in adults and children aged 12 years and above.

The vaccine, ZyCoV-D, uses a section of genetic material from the virus that gives instructions as either DNA or RNA to make the specific protein that the immune system recognises and responds to.

Unlike most COVID-19 vaccines, which need two doses or even a single dose, ZyCoV-D is administered in three doses.

The drugmaker said in July its COVID-19 vaccine was effective against the new coronavirus mutants, especially the Delta variant, and that the shot is administered using a needle-free applicator as opposed to traditional syringes.

The firm had applied for the authorization of ZyCoV-D on July 1, based on an efficacy rate of 66.6% in a late-stage trial of over 28,000 volunteers nationwide.
