With the highly contagious delta variant spreading across the US, children are filling hospital intensive care beds instead of classrooms in record numbers, more even than at the height of the pandemic. Many are too young to get the vaccine, which is available only to those 12 and over.

    in a parallel universe:

the gov't provides rapid antigen test (nasopharyngeal swab or saliva test) to all its citizens

every morning, everyone self tests at home

pag negative pwede pumasok sa trabaho / school

    pag positive stay home

ganyan lang, you can bring down infections to negligible level

pero syempre imposible yan in this dimension

The best way to implement this is if may ma-invent na parang breathalizer that detects sarscov2, and the breathalizer will be linked to everyone's mobile device para automatic upload to the office or govt agency. Anyone who is positive of covid shall not step out of their homes.

    yes good idea

without home self tests available, the next best thing is symptom monitoring

pag may sipon, ubo, lagnat wag lumabas ng bahay

yan palang di magawa ng mga tao

i'll bet many workers would voluntarily choose to remain at home, should they exhibit symptoms,
    if their salaries were guaranteed.

Stayapp na contract tracing hinde nga ma centralize ng national govt, yan pa ganyan na real time. Pati vaccination card wala pa rin tayong unified na pwede check anything kung original.
