there really is an increasing trend.
but unless genome-ing is done, we have no way of determining what strains they are dealing with

i do not know what criteria they use, to determine who gets genome-d and who does not.

that's about 14,000 infections.
and if we assume that only 10% of the infecteds are identified,
that's an estimated 140,000 people infected with covid, 126,000 of which are walking around, un-detected.
that's why mask and shield are a must-wear.

the media is known for exaggerrating their news.

there is an un-official rule in journalism, "when there is no news, we make the news".

if you do not pick up the news that the competition is reporting, you will be out-journalized.
"lois! the other 'paper has a story on this spider-y man! why aren't we reporting on this weirdo! go out there and do something about it!"
hence the pinuputakte effect.

nobody wants the hassle of having to isolate for 2 weeks specially if one will be taken to an isolation facility with bad accomodations

and contact tracers go to their house to swab their whole family

Sana na lang yung takot magpa test, they will just stay at their home or if hindi talaga pwede na hindi aalis follow the protocol… just by being responsible would help us during this pandemic… i mean a LOT!

They are just now realizing this. It's not the willingness of the people, it's not the supply of the vaccine, it's how LGU handle the vaccination. A lot of things can be done to make it faster.
