Yes kaya I was specific na I don't think highly of cosmetic surgeons (compared to other specializations) kasi marami unscrupulous. Ang dami pa sycophant doctors sa celebrities/youtubers which is so cheap. Kita naman nilang mukha ng blow up doll yung patient nila puro bola pa sila na maganda. Of course hindi lahat but the specialization itself na beautification... no comment. Hehe.

Mabuti pa plastic surgeons that help burn or accident victims that really need reconstruction, those are essential surgeries. Yung mga cosmetic breast implant, butt implant, nose job etc etc, lalo pang nire reinforce shallowness ng society

Ito tsikoteers, scientific na kuro-kuro. Very very hard reading the terms kasi eh. But tatanong ko ito sa mga homies ko sa international forum.

Anti-inflammatory activity of ivermectin in late-stage COVID-19 may reflect activation of systemic glycine receptors

Anti-inflammatory activity of ivermectin in late-stage COVID-19 may reflect activation of systemic glycine receptors | Open Heart
    Statistics from Altmetric.com

Ivermectin, a drug commonly used to treat a range of parasitic infections, has been shown to halve the mortality elicited by a fatal dose of lipopolysaccharide in mice, in an oral dose (4 mg/kg) that can be extrapolated to 2–4 times the standard clinical dose in humans (0.2 mg/kg).1 It has been suggested that this phenomenon is highly pertinent to the clinical utility of ivermectin in the cytokine storm phase of COVID-19, which has been documented in a number of clinical studies.2 A meta-analysis of 18 clinical studies to date examining the impact of ivermectin therapy in hospitalised COVID-19 patients has observed a roughly 68% reduction in mortality associated with its usage.3

The basis of ivermectin’s potent anti-inflammatory activity remains unclear. However, it is notable that ivermectin can act as a partial agonist for glycine-gated strychnine-inhibitable chloride channels, which are expressed by a number of types of immune cells—including alveolar macrophages and neutrophils—as well as vascular endothelium.4–7 The anti-inflammatory effects of high-dose dietary glycine in rodents have been attributed to activation of such channels on immune and endothelial cells.7–14 The mechanism whereby glycine receptor activation achieves these effects remains unclear; hyperpolarisation of plasma membranes may be involved, as well as inhibition of endosomal nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphat oxidase activity.12 15

In striking homology to the effects of ivermectin, high dietary glycine (5% of diet) has been shown to halve the mortality of a lethal dose of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in rats.16 Glycine preadministration also blunts the lung injury induced by inhalation of aerosolised LPS in mice; this effect is associated with inhibition of NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation (thought to play a key role in COVID-19 lung inflammation17 and production of proinflammatory cytokines).18 Moreover, it is notable that, whereas 1 mM ivermectin suppresses the activating effect of LPS on Kupffer cells in vitro, removal of chloride from the medium completely eliminates ivermectin’s impact in this regard.19

Nonetheless, it is not completely straightforward to predict that ivermectin administration will activate glycine-gated chloride receptors in vivo. At a concentration of 0.03 µM, ivermectin does not directly activate such receptors, but rather potentiates their response to sub-saturating concentrations of glycine.4 As ivermectin increases to 0.3 µM, these receptors are irreversibly activated by ivermectin, and glycine cannot further activate them. However, since ivermectin is only a partial agonist, the maximal channel activity achieved with ivermectin is about 20% less than that seen with a saturating concentration of glycine. The lung concentration of ivermectin achieved after a single standard dose (0.2 mg/kg) is estimated to be around 0.09 µM.20 The affinity of glycine for the homomeric alpha1 glycine receptor has been determined to be about 160 µM, whereas human fasting plasma glycine concentrations are near 200 µM.21 22 These values appear consistent with the possibility that clinical concentrations of ivermectin could indeed boost the activity of systemic—as opposed to central nervous system—glycine receptors in humans. (Ivermectin is largely excluded from the brain by P-glycoprotein transporters, which accounts for its relative safety.)23–25

It is therefore suggested that the clinical utility of ivermectin in the cytokine storm phase of COVID-19 reflects, at least in part, an anti-inflammatory effect mediated by increased activation of glycine receptors on leukocytes and possibly vascular endothelium. An evident corollary of this is that ingestion of high-dose glycine may provide somewhat analogous anti-inflammatory protection in COVID-19, as has previously been suggested.26 27

However, in light of accumulating evidence that ivermectin may have important utility for the primary prevention of COVID-19, it is likely that it also exerts an antiviral effect with respect to SARS-CoV-2, as suggested by in vitro studies.3 28 It is not clear whether glycine receptor agonism might have anything to do with this effect.

now they're saying ivermectin works via the anti-inflammatory pathway

originally they're using ivermectin's ability to prevent viral proteins from being transported into the cell nucleus

    ABSTRACT
Human adenoviruses (HAdV) are ubiquitous within the human population and comprise a significant burden of respiratory illnesses worldwide. Pediatric and immunocompromised individuals are at particular risk for developing severe disease; however, no approved antiviral therapies specific to HAdV exist. Ivermectin is an FDA-approved broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug that also exhibits antiviral properties against a diverse range of viruses. Its proposed function is inhibiting the classical protein nuclear import pathway mediated by importin-α (Imp-α) and -β1 (Imp-β1). Many viruses, including HAdV, rely on this host pathway for transport of viral proteins across the nuclear envelope. In this study, we show that ivermectin inhibits HAdV-C5 early gene transcription, early and late protein expression, genome replication, and production of infectious viral progeny. Similarly, ivermectin inhibits genome replication of HAdV-B3, a clinically important pathogen responsible for numerous recent outbreaks. Mechanistically, we show that ivermectin disrupts binding of the viral E1A protein to Imp-α without affecting the interaction between Imp-α and Imp-β1. Our results further extend ivermectin’s broad antiviral activity and provide a mechanistic underpinning for its mode of action as an inhibitor of cellular Imp-α/β1-mediated nuclear import.

kung gagamit ka ng ivermectin for anti-inflammatory effect then use hydroxychloroquine nalang

    pang rheumatoid arthritis

kaya ginagamit ung mahal na tocilizumab sa covid

    tsaka ung barcitinib

    pareho pang RA

ung sa post ni kagalingan pilit lang nila hinahanap ung paraan how ivermectin works against covid

covid has 2 phases -- the virus phase and the immune reaction phase

it's the immune reaction phase that's deadly (when the immune system overreacts)

kaya ginagamitan ng cheap steroid dexamethasone

and the expensive tocilizumab and barcitinib

ang layo ng lakbay ng ivermectin para sa anti-inflammatory effect niya (activate glycine receptors)

derechohin mo na --- take a real anti-inflammatory drug

Ah, thanks. But nevertheless, due diligence is the message coming across in that post, even if not entirely factual.
Dr. Avila was a classmate of my eldest brother in LSGH & known by a lot of my dr. friends.
Fake post nga after verifying. He also didn’t receive 2 doses of Sinovac but just 1 dose of AZ.

I had to google her. Reminded me of that voluptuous actress Bridget Suarez. When I saw her in a car show, it gave cosmetic surgery a whole new meaning for me.
