Turkish study revises down Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine efficacy to 83.5%

The COVID-19 vaccine developed by China's Sinovac Biotech has an efficacy of 83.5% based on final results of Phase III trials, Turkish researchers said on Wednesday, a downward revision from a preliminary finding of 91.25%.
He added that the vaccine prevented hospitalization and severe illness in 100% of cases, saying the six people who were hospitalized were all in the placebo group.

Saw some doctor friends of mine getting the Sinovac jab. No regrets for them although this was before the announcement of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrival. What surprised me was one Chinese Doctor friend who seem refused the Chinese vaccine.

Yup but I haven't decided if I'll take it medyo kakatakot din kasi baka may side effects in the long term na unknown pa. Wala pa schedule but I think nasa least priority ako because I don't have work and I'm below 60, though I do have health issues

I'm not sure how the US will vaccinate citizens nga who are out of the country. Sana nga pwede sa embassy.

Nakakahinayang lang mga tao sa US, maybe if they didn't make this political (wearing masks and lockdowns are against freedom) siguro hindi naging sobrang lala ng china virus sa kanila kasi maayos government nila. Good thing they have access to the best vaccines now [emoji14] I have several close relatives nagka covid sa US e balik normal na naman sa buhay
