Agree. Specially if you don't know to kill the virus. It will indeed ba a choice of forced quarantine vs. the problem escalating.

Kawawq lang talaga yung mga wala pa sakit pero nasa zone of peril. Hindi sure if they are infected or not eh. Not enough info pa tayo and no conclusive way to test the infections from persons who just got the bug in maybe one or two days pa lang. Ang tagal ng incubation kasi, 2 weeks iirc.

This is really getting out of hand. The world needs to find, fast, either a cure or a vaccine. Include a reliable test kit as well.

Was hoping the doctors on here could shed some light in the way of diagnosis and treatment. Since we could all possibly catch the virus, best focus on what can be done in that eventuality.

"I don't mind as long as it's me who's being saved, and not the once getting killed".

So let's use the mind to perform a role reversal experiment. Let's do a "what-if". What if you or your loved one(s) will be the one "culled" by such measures? Will you be as understanding? Will you be as indifferent? Will you easily accept your fate and self-sacrifice for the "greater good"?

Conversely, do you think the Chinese Government (CCP) will enforce such measures if it happened in Beijing and majority of those infected are the CCP leadership and their families?

i recall in one of those hollywood virus contagion movies the US govt called in the troops to enforce quarantine

anyway, point is, when you have an outbreak of a killer virus, a government (ANY GOV'T) will have to decide that they have to use force even if it means violating human rights

it's a choice between not violating rights and allow more people to die

Since we are in the Philippines, sir, I worry about how much the treatment will cost, if you catch the virus and get critically ill because of it. How many specialists you will need? If you will be ICU'd, etc. etc? Does existing HMO plans cover this new virus?
