I have an Atis 2003 at the moment, and I feel it's a very good all-rounder. The look is a classic, spacious, and I haven't found it really lacking in power. That's why after looking around for all sorts of vehicle that is to my liking - the Tucsons, Ecosports for the crossovers, the Mirages, Accents, Picantos, Celerios, Fiestas for the hatchs, and the Teana, Almera, Ciaz and Vios for the sedans - I have come back full circle to the Altises. My interest in them though is basically focused in the 2011 to 2012 models only. My brother has the Altis 1.6V 2016 and I've decided I don't need all the features and gizmos that comes with it. Also, the 2011/2012 models are in a sweet spot right now ranging from P350k to P450k. Just two years ago that I was looking at these same models they're still at the P550k to P675k range for the "V" variant.

Masikip din 10th gen. Barely better than the similarly aged Mazda 3.
Front seats are too thick and not sculpted to increase rear legroom, unlike the Vios. Shoulder room is good though and at least flat floor.
11th gen ang super luwag na Altis. Beats everyone in its class especially because of its flat floor which the Civic and Sylphy don't have.

My 2010 Altis 1.6 G M/T is due for 45k PMS. I called speedyfix, labor is P200 only! That's it. Nothing else to be done daw. They will just check the spark plug and brake.
BTW, this is the oil and oil filter I bought in 2015 pa. It was never opened. Tama ba? Can you please recommend a good brand of spark plug (please give name and model/part number)
What else can I ask them to check (aside from battery health)? I never check under the hood btw

Spark plug brand? Most likely Toyota branded but actually NGK.
I have had only good experience with the Toyota 5W-40 fully synthetic oil. Could be had relatively cheap from alternative sources. I also use the largest Toyota oil filter that would fit in the space allotted for it. Usually for Camry yung mga malalaking oil filters na ginagamit ko. Almost same price lang naman nung sa Altis '03. Yung sa Altis kasi ang liit lang talaga and at most probably good for 6 months only. Since fully synth gamit ko I do extended oil change of 8,000 to 10,000 kms. Yun nga lang isang nabili ko hindi talaga kumasya kaya ayun naka-stock lang.

A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
