Sadly, I have the same feeling towards insurance agent. Insurance is a good investment per se but I dislike the way they are selling their products. Para kang tatakutin na may mangyayari sa yo at no matter how much salary you are receiving, they always come up with a calculation that it is not enough to provide you with a good future.

Buti nga at part time lang niyang ginagawa.

Oh, isa pa palang ideology ng MLM is Robert Kiyosaki's concepts of networking.

Basta ako, di ako bilib sa MLM. Day job pa rin ang best way to earn money. Easy come, easy go

I stood up, left, and didn't talk to that guy ever again.

Sosy yung nagrecruit sakin, instead of business, "entrepreneurial opportunity" daw.

He probably expected that I would go on a litany on how I wished for more income through some quick-rich scheme. Instead, I told him that I'm fine with my little salary and I try to make the most of it by saving and investing. I'm not desperate and money-hungry to clamor for his "additional income potential". Ayun pinabayaan na ko hehe.

These were my thoughts when I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It's a dangerous book lalo na kung tanga yung nagbabasa. Some of the advice is insightful, but you really have to filter through a lot of sweeping generalizations.

Why Pinoys fall prey to quick money schemes | Economy | GMA News Online

    The 8-point test

DSAP came up with this test to check if it the direct-selling or multi-level marketing company is legit:

    a.) Is there a product?

b.) Are commissions paid based on product sales or and not from the entry fees paid upon registration of new recruits?

c.) Is the company selling a product and not a position?

d.) Is there no direct correlation between the number of recruits and compensation?

e.) If recruitment is to stop today, will the participants still make money?

f.) Is there a reasonable product return policy?

g.) Do products have fair market value?

h.) Is there a compelling reason to buy?
