July 18th, 2013 04:13 PM #911According to Mazda Greenhills, price for the CX5 keyless remote is P17,686 (includes parts and labor for programming). Will take 2-3 weeks upon ordering. 50% down payment is needed should you wish to proceed with the order.
Wow, this small thing is more expensive than the battery pala. Better get a keychain that has a belt strap hook so you can always hook it on you.
Does the CX-5 2.0L have the same keyless remote with the 2.5L variant?
Sir c_cube,
Which dealer gave you the 15k price for the battery? Would like to ask them price for the keyless remote, baka mas mura sila? TIA.

Yep. Two identical keys. My dad uses a carabiner with a plastic cord so it's easy to fish out of the pocket to unlock the doors.
17k pala ang susi. IIRC 7k ang Mirage (keyless push button start). Cheaper na rin compared to a euro brand na sing-presyo ng underbone ang susi

July 18th, 2013 06:02 PM #914I called Mazda QA to ask and this is their price:
1,097 for the key (blank key siya, they don't do key duplication. You have to have it duplicated with key duplicating vendors like mr. quickie)
7,988 for the remote transmitter
3,500 for the programming of the remote transmitter ( you have to set an appointment and bring the car and your existing key for programming)
50% down on ordering and 2 to 3 days makuha since available as of now sa planta.
Total cost is 12,585 w/o key duplication. That's about 5k difference from price of Mazda Greenhills. That means dealers do not have standard pricing and have parts that are sometimes more expensive than other dealers and sometimes cheaper. I thought standard pricing and mga dealers when it comes to original car parts since same lang source nila. If ever sa accessories lang sila magkaiba ng price.
When I asked about the programming, the parts advisor asked me if the keyless remote came with a metal tag with a code engraved on it. I told him there was no metal tag. Just a paper tag that had the chassis number written on it. Did you guys get a metal tag with your keyless remote for your CX-5?

All our recently-purchased remote-equipped cars have this tiny metal tag. It's about a half inch long and a quarter inch wide with a few digits stamped on it. Our Mazda SA put it inside our casa file for safe keeping. On our Vios and Mirage we left it on the spare key and I took pictures of the tags just the same. The tags are supposed to be your security system code. Lose that and you risk having to replace your whole security system when you run out of keys.

July 18th, 2013 06:42 PM #916Thanks for the info Sir JohnM. I should ask my SA about this coz mine did not come with it. Although the Parts Advisor said that maybe the main plant changed their system and did not need the code anymore to program the remote transmitter. Buti na lang I decided to ask you guys. Thanks again.
