Yeah, the seats of the FD are really stiff ! Last year, nung nasira yung engine support at tensioner ng FD ( the odo was around 55k palang yata ) we had to pay 21k ! Hahahaha.
Kaya beater na talaga yung FD ngayon ( has clocked 63k kms since Dec. 2007 )
Actually, kahit yung 2008 release. Ever since nagandahan talaga kami dun. Ang laki kasi ng pinagbago from the 9th gen. Parang na-relive yung Bigbody days. Tapos nung we had a chance to check it out personally sa Toyota showroom ( gamit yung FD of course para kunwari bibili talaga. hahaha ! ) nagulat kami how comfortable it is inside and how large the trunk is.
One gripe pa ni erpats sa FD is yung engine bay, sobrang sikip kasi unlike the Altis it's really HUGE. So it's easier to clean.
Oh well. :rofl01:
Makataya nga ulit ng lotto sa linggo.

Yes Premium. Wow LPG...
Looks like maco-convert na si sir OTEP a... Tska si Renzo.
Kung me plano ulit for a brand new ride, eto parin gusto ko... 1.6G siguro, iba talaga comfort compared sa FD ko. Undecided kung MT or AT...
I'm actually happy we decided to go back to getting a Corolla. Yung old namin is yung lovelife na XE 1.3.Last edited by cjv_justice; April 6th, 2012 at 04:55 PM.

I'll try Shell unleaded in my next tank up then.
Yep, LPG siya since it was 10,000kms old (car now has run 80,000kms); never had any real deal problems with it and i really used that Altis a lot to the point that even if i had a bigger car for our long trips, i bring the LPG Altis instead if we'll fit in it due to the savings i get in fuel with no performance trade-offs. I wouldn't mind converting this new Altis to LPG and i am seriously considering it in due time (most likely at Xoom using their SGI kit similar to the one i have on my older Altis).
Comfort and road noise is definitely better than the FD; if there's a thing i like about the FD (and Civics in general) is that i prefer the flat driving position on it over the Corollas. I'll compare it also to my sister's new Civic when they take delivery of it in a week or so. Handling of the gen 10.5 is also better (less body roll) compared to the 9th gen although the suspension design looks similar to the point that some suspension performance parts (i.e. the Ultra Racing braces) for the 9th gen fit on the 10th gen from what i read.

query:
oem ba yung headunit mo or copy lang? isnt it the same sa oem?
i love the rear foglamps. its just a bit expencve, cant afford hehe. how much did you get yours?

for 1.6L variants (AT vs MT), ilan RPM at 100kph? mas lower ba RPM ng MT at 6th gear?
Aside from the optitron and rear disc brakes, meron pa bang big upgrade ang V variant over G?
thank you.

The AT only has 4-speed right ? And the MT has 6-speed ? If so, theoretically the MT should have a lower RPM vs the AT at 100kph.
It's a different story if we're comparing the 2.0L Dual VVTi which I think has 7-speed AT vs. the 6-speed MT.

just backread at page 60s, 100kph at 2500rpm daw ang 1.6E. (hope ko pwde 2000-2300 rpm)
our 2003 1.8G does 2500rpm at 100kph cruising din.
with the 1.6L-AT dual vvti engines sana lower ang rpm (kahit 100 lang) pag naka cruise at 100kph?
anyways, thats the point i am trying to clear up to rationalize my decision. gusto ko (gustong gusto) talaga Elantra 1.8 GLS pero duda ako sa pag alaga at supporta ng mga dealership nila.
usapang transmissions; if a 4AT can cruise 100kph at 2500rpm at ito na ata ang best (lowest) RPM a 1.6-1.8L engine can make cruising at 100kph.
It can equal a more modern 6AT sa Philippine roads pag dating sa highway fuel economy. Sasaya na ako sa altis 1.6G or V kahit hindi sya as awarded like the latest elantra.

The HU is a China unit and it serves it's purpose pretty well for a non-audiophile like me; it's using a Garmin program from an SD card that the seller gave to me and its been working accurately. On longevity, if this lasts for over 5 years with no bugs and with daily use then i'll be quite happy already. The CASA sells those things for well over 30K i heard.
On the rear fogs, Marvs at Altisclubzz is selling them. He has also for the Gen10 which i think he's selling at 2.5K per piece per his post on the site.
If i read it correctly, i'm doing around 2.7K rpm at 100kph on 6th gear. I hit 3K rpm at 115kph to 120kph. This is using the stock 195/65R15 tires on the 1.6E 6-speed.
At 5th gear, 100kph comes in at 3000rpm.
Is it true na may recall ang yaris cross hev recently regarding sunroof issue? Lol.
