Checked the post, this one's reupholstered with leather at a 3rd of the price. Worth considering methinks. screenshot_2023-05-02-16-05-08-30_a23b203fd3aafc6dcb84e438dda678b6.jpg

What did Toyota have to say about this? Even if it was out of warranty considering that a lot of owners have the same issue.

I remember that Honda recalled our civic to replace the belt straps of the gas tank even if it was out of warranty.

That was a big issue! Alam ko Toyota was forced to extend warranty on the dashboards and reimburse owners who had them fixed on their own. Ewan ko lang kung paano nangyari sa local, but you should complain to your CASA about it.

Saang Toyota yan?

i always remove anything that has "cleaner" or "flush" or "treatment" or "coat" on it. and that un-dying X-1R !
"next time na lang. wala sa budget, eh."

i was so notorious in the casa, nakalagay na yata sa computer record ko, "customer is kuripot. oil and filter change lang siya palagi."
one time kasi, the SA's tongue slipped. "oil and filter change lang, sir?"
they know i'm a doctor, because my suking sales rep there was our trainee before.

    reminds me.
years ago, my colleague was a honda owner, and always had a fine time having it serviced at the nearby honda casa.
then one day, "dr. d, i am disappointed. honda mis-fixed my car."
"but i thought they were a great team!"
"well, apparently, some honda dealer in the middle east, pirated the entire team, lock, stock, and barrel. and the new team i had to deal with, is still so wet between the ears."

    highs.

    Oil is Synthetic Blend.
Aside from X1-R, engine flush, and fuel injector cleaner, okay na ko.
Those Engine Room mats are for engine wash. Occasional lang naman at I'd rather casa do that.
Since low usage pwede na siguro mineral oil?

Here's my final quotation. Ilan years na pala ako walang PMS kaso 1k lang kasi tinakbo from my 50k pms 🤣 So I'm getting a 55k PMS for a car na 51k lang.

    Or dapat ba 50k ulit?

Ito iyong madalas na add-on sa casa. Brake service item.

    ?!?!

yeah funny how they call it "clean and adjust" like there's something that needs adjusting. even drum brakes are self adjusting pero walang item na "brake paste". maybe they didn't lube the tabs and shoe lube points so it's a half-a$$ed job. it's really better to have it done by a mechanic that you know if you can't DIY.

Anyway, yung next PMS ko labas ko pagawa kasi it takes me years to reach 5k ko next year baka 1k lang ulit ma add, bili ako Liquimoly saka Baldwin oil filter. Pagawa ko sa labas. Sa 60k na ko ulit mag casa.

dun sa ford ko which is now a backup car naka 1k lang in the past 6 months (yeah it gets short tripped). noticed some oil dilution so i drained out the oil and filled it with Valvoline premium conventional which costs like 1k. cheaper and better than driving it for 2 hours on the expressway to burn off the fuel dilution. that's the issue for cars that aren't driven much so just use cheap oil coz you may need to change it often like every 6 months

Toyota called me and I was told na super dumi daw ng Engine and they recommend an Engine wash pero P1500. I don't wanna do it naman sa labas. I wonder if I could just wipe the Engine bay with a damp towel myself haha

just wipe it yourself, maam. it'll cost you the price of a couple of old t-shirts.

i seldom have my engine cleaned. i even instruct the oil change guy not to.
what for? it'd be just as dirty after a few km...
hindi naman kami sumasali nang car beauty contest, eh.
