September 4th, 2014 02:46 AM #32No maintenance so far and its been 5 years already. The mixing tank is an internal component of the heater and requires no cleaning of any sort. Just wire it properly and make sure that your water supply is filtered or at least use a pre-stage filter before the inlet of the heater so sediments don't get inside the system and expect it to last longer than the expected warranty.

Got 2 Panasonics at home. So far so good.
Tip: Buy during the summer. They give deep discounts on heaters during the summer.

September 19th, 2014 08:01 AM #36Elcb is like gfci ground fault circuit interrupter. No, its not like regular cb found in your home panel box. It detects current leakage on the heater's body, trips the breaker when leakage limit(milliamps range) is reached.
