Ayoko muna... medyo na intimidate ako sa recommended system specs. Alam mo naman na in real life, recommended system specs == min system specs for decent game experience. (min system specs == system specs required to get past the opening vids and get to the main menu) :D

I used to play video games on my PC a lot. Then I realized how unproductive it is - working on a skill that has absolutely no value. I tried to convince myself that racing sims help you become a better racer on track, but iba pa rin ang real track time (too bad it's such an expensive hobby). I stopped upgrading my PC and sold my racing wheel, so di ko na malaro yung Assetto Corsa, one of the most promising sims today.

Maybe one day pag tinopak ako I'll spend on an ITX rig and a G27 wheel and get back into playing. But right now I have other toys on my mind and I also need to save for the practical stuff.

Counted ba dito yung mga mobile games? Sadly, I can now only play games in handheld devices. I have NBA 2k14 and BOOM Beach in my device. Yung Clash of Clans malapit ko na itry.

I used to be that way too when I was younger and ambitious. I put aside many of my hobbies. Now that I'm middle-aged, I think I've gone as far as I'm going to get with my career (fairly comfortable). So now, it's less ambition and more consolidation. I now have more time to indulge in the hobbies I set aside before.

Sabagay, mataas nga minimum requirement nung shadow of mordor. Haha. Pero kinaya naman ng laptop ko, sana malaro nyo din. Gusto ko din sana laruin yung NBA 2k15 kaya lang ang laki ng file para i-dl. 38gb yata.

I think this is the case for a lot of people. I'm trying to be a bit different though. I don't wanna reach my 40s with the feeling that I missed out a lot in my 20s. So I try to engage in a lot of hobbies now instead of being that guy who works from 9am-9pm everyday.

That said, I still try to evaluate which hobbies are both fun and productive, so that even in my downtime, I'm improving myself as opposed to just merely killing time.

Aside from video games (which I've successfully given up), another unproductive pastime of mine is watching TV series - though right now I'm still able to justify that it broadens your perspective on things, just like how reading books does albeit to a lesser extent since TV is usually less deep and thought provoking.

In my case, I do a lot of other things besides working and playing games.

    1. Take care of the family.

    2. I attend air shows when my schedule permits and if the wife is willing to let me travel away. I post photos from time to time.

    3. Photography - you can see plenty of my stuff in the photography thread of this forum.

    4. House work such as painting the interior I had recently finished and yard work. Photos of my handiwork are somewhere in this forum.

    5. Playing sports (soccer and basketball) and going to the gym. Not a hobby to me though.

    6. Taking college/university courses. I got my Associate Degree in IT while we lived in NY. I'm currently working on my Bachelor's. I think it'll complement my meteorology degree.

    7. Weather - it's my favorite field and it's my breadwinner. Someday, I'll retire from it as work. I'll build an amateur weather station and do my own observations and forecasts just for the fun of it.

One hobby I had set aside when I was younger are scale and R/C models. I'm going to resume them, time permitting.

I think all the above are plenty enough for activities. But, since this is a thread about video games.......

One more. He He. I love this game.
