Playing XCOM 2 at the moment. Had to make a lot of tweaks on the .ini files to make the game playable. lol

Going retro with Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption on the netbook. Even my very first Windows laptop (from 2003) ran the game much better and that one had a P4-2.4 GHz and Radeon IGP 345. I don't think framerates went below 30 fps.

The netbook has a 1.5 GHz dualcore (with HT) Atom N550 and GMA 3150 graphics. The framerates are below 30 in the screenshots. I think they go above 30 if I turned off the screen capture overlay.

The GoG version of Redemption behaves so much better than the original release. Bloodlines is only on Steam. I'll buy that too later on. I never got to play Bloodlines because I kinda got busy back then.

Bloodlines was an unfortunate victim of activision management. It was supposed to use the HL2 engine, but was released too early and in an unfinished, bug ridden state. It was running an earlier version of the HL2 engine. By the time HL2 was released, most of the bugs were resolved. But unfortunately, they remain on Bloodlines.
Sales were bad and the developer -- Troika -- went out of business. Some of the devs continued working for free just to put out quick patches.

I'd say the state of Bloodlines back then is almost the same as the state of Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.

The game had a LOT of promise. Great immersion. Great modeling of the the humanity vs. beast balance. You'll even have the option to create your own blood pet, if your morality can accept such.

There's still an active community of Bloodline players and believe it or not, the community patch is still being updated from time to time.

Like VtM, there are multiple endings -- evil, neutral, good.

Do you remember the Tower of London level in VtM? There's a similar Haunted House level in Bloodlines that was just as masterfully done.

PAHABOL:
-- In bloodlines, if you choose to play as a MALKAVIAN, your insanity will also be modeled in-game. The television sets will start talking to you (you can make dialog), and you'll hear voices out of nowhere.
-- If you play as a Nosferatu, you'll have to stay in the sewers and pretty much remain in shadows. Otherwise, the police will start attacking you.
-- If you play as Ventrue, you can't benefit from the blood of rats or low-class people like bums. You'll need to draw blood from rich poeple in suits.

A well thought out game held back by a buggy engine.

Checkout sulit for PS3 games. You can get used ones for around 300-500 depending on the title. Call of Duty games have vanilla storylines but are better to be played online in PS Network. The same ting goes for Battlefield games. Trust me, online multiplayer is way better.

PC? Yup. Master Race? Nope. I just play games, period. My PC has an FX-8350 and 4 GB GTX 770. It's three years old and far from top of the line. But, I can still play most games on High, Very High. So, I don't feel like upgrading yet. If the PS4 had mouse and keyboard support, I might switch to that instead.

Hindi siguro. Steam has enough problems tracking down steam users who try to activate pirated games under steam.

Just make sure he does not 'taint' his steam account with pirated games. Oras na madiskubre ng STEAM na may p-game doon sa account mo, they'll lock the account. Kahit na 1 lang yung illegal and 10++ yung legit.

I try to play STALKER - Call of Pripyat from time to time. But, it always fall to the wayside whenever another game I like shows up.

The Gear Head mini keyboard is just right for playing games on the laptop. I didn't want to wear out the laptop keys. It also fits great in the backpack.
