Malamang naka tweak or optimized na ung design ng aircon. Nasa 2200w lang compared sa ibang 2.5hp na 2400+ above ang input power.

What is the advantage of having a dual compressor split type aircon as compared to a 1:1 compressor and fcu? granting both have the same tons of refrigeration rating.

I don't know if this has been posted before. While I was making a quick research on electricity demand forecast, I stumbled upon this database of airconditioners in the Philippines. You might find it useful.

ok po ba ang inverter na window type na ACU? how does it compare to split type inverter units in terms of power consumption?

You tell us... As I know of, only 2 makers of window type in Phl, Hitachi & Kolin (very recently). The tech is quite new, so only time will tell if it is worth the price.

^^^ in my experience, kolin AC window type is proven reliable and durable. i hope dyan din sa inverter type nila.
more or less nasa 10 yrs na yung yung kolin 2hp namin. hangang buhay pa din.

I have a Hitachi window type inverter AC 1 hp. So far I have not called for service apart from regular cleaning. Tingin ko lang mas mabilis magpalamig ang non-inverter unit.

I also have Koppel split type inverter 1 hp. Nag leak na after 2 years. I guess there's nothing wrong with the unit but with the installation.

Now I prefer window inverter. That's because if something goes wrong, i only have to suspect that there's something wrong with the unit unlike with split type, there could be something wrong with the installation and fittings.

Sir machine.pistol how about the energy consumption of your hitachi window inverter? matipid ba? I wanted to know if effecient ang window type na inverter kasi I am geared towards this due to ease of installation.

Sharing my experience with window type inverter. Bought a kolin 1.5hp window inverter, arrived on 6/17 then i got around to install it nung 6/19. It replaced a 13yr old conventional, .75hp i think.

Below is my post in another forum.

    Update lang:
    New meralco bill
    Bill Period: June 19, 2015 to July 18, 2015
    Amount: P 5,497.25

From 10.3k the previous month. Very similar usage except for some nights na ok naman panahon, but daytime usage remained the same.

I was expecting mga 8k - similar to our trend from last year for the same month, pero to my surprise it turned out to be even better.

Take it with a grain of salt please, may iba pang factors yan panigurado kasi hindi naman sabay yung pag sukat.

Inverter window type is much more expensive than split type currently cause relatively new pa daw. It's like 50K for window while 35K for split on same hp.

I won't bet on new tech as you'll end up guinea pig. Better go for proven technology rather than risk. I'm talking through experience here.

May not be the case for their inverter type. I have 3 units installed brand new in 2010. Just last April (2015) all of those 3 chonked out one after another as if meron timer to fail. Worst, 1 unit which is installed in the guess room also broke down yet in that span of time, it was only used for roughly 3 weeks. Whne i asked for an explanantion sa Kolin, the only answer i got is that that was their first invert type and that's a generic problem for all their customers.
