    heh heh.
Some apps need constant updates to function properly.
Some wont run at all if not updated.
So no choice for the user.

    "it's a manufacturers' conspiracy!"
first, sell what customer is made to believe, to be a totl.
then bring out the apps that will eat up the ram.
then, bring out the "upgraded model".
three sales for the same final result!
    genius.

    Well. Conspiracy or not.
Those who complain the most are the ones using budget phones. And that market has volume so makes sense to see/hear complaints.

Apple didnt bring out a budget line so you wont hear them complain too much on instability. Althlugh few of my friends complain that they cannot use theirs because it is not supported supported anymore by the ios release.

And I thought the p20 was so good. It can even demand a high price alongside Samsung.

For example, sure the P20 has a nice camera, but UI still feels like a generic Chinese Android phone.

Also, no other brand makes curved edge screens as nicely as Samsung does.

You have to use other phones to actually compare.

A lot of factors that’s why for android less bloatware better.

My wife's P9 Plus is still doing great. She used a Note 1 and a Note 3 before this. Battery life and performance are still good. Problem is Smart never updated the FW since she got it so I'll be debranding and unlocking the phone once she replaces it with something else.

He is comparing Samsung experience to Mi A2, AFAIK A2 is Android One phone. No bloatware installed/running on background.

That's why many people wants stock android, given you have same phone with same Snapdragon processors and same ram, magkakatalo yan sa mga software na tumatakbo sa background. Obviously yung mga stock android doesn't have a lot of software on background. That is until you install other softwares.

agree. kahit salpakan yan ng latest chipset, magkakatalo naman sa UI design at implementation ng manufacturer.

Definitely not me. I hate stock Android. I had a Nexus 5 before. Feels cheap.

I prefer the TouchWiz UI and my phone doesn't feel slower just because it has an additional UI. Samsung or any other manufacturer wouldn't launch a flagship phone if it couldn't run their UI smoothly.

exactly. its not simply smacking in the latest chipset and processor then price cheaper to dazzle consumers and called a flagship killer.

Ito actually ang worry ko, kaya hanggang ngayon sony, samsung and LG lang choices ko. Plus the gps of even the "branded" chinese phones are less to be desired. Kaso sony madalas mediatek lang ang soc [emoji58][emoji58]
Honestly, pwede na sakin yun poco f1; di naman ako maselan. Kaso yun mi8 ng officemate ko, when compared to my c9 pro, less than 15 (or more) ang gps count.

Buti na lang din naka Snapdragon 630 yung midrange ng Sony ngayon, much more powerful than Helio P series, kahit nagmahal ng onti mas sulit naman sa software updates and graphics performance. [emoji28]

Interesting yung mi 8 Explorer Edition, probably the only phone with the fastest and most accurate GPS connection right now.
