    Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 512GB MSRP: ₱93,990.

In a hypothetical online purchase today (a few hours after the launch) on Samsung.com:

    • Trade-in Samsung S24 Ultra (512GB)
    • GALAXYS25LIVE -- free Galaxy7 watch
    • Galaxy Unpacked event e-voucher (via email)
    • Samsung Rewards points redeemed
    • 0% installment (BDO, BPI, HSBC, UnionBank, Metrobank)

Price comes out to ₱30,689.37. There might well be more vouchers coming up in the next several days so waiting might be the best option.

Plan ko i-stretch to 5 years yung S23 Ultra ko. I think I'm done with expensive flagship phones kahit through plan. Too expensive na and with no new revolutionary features. Not a fan of AI.

There is also another voucher which will be released late this afternoon after the Samsung PH event (I will post it below once it is live). There is also an additional ₱3k off for the S25 series which you will see upon checkout. You can also use the Samsung rewards points from previous online purchases to stack up with the vouchers for more discounts (a guy online got his S25 ultra for ₱10k).

I spoke to customer support and they say you can only stack 3 vouchers in all so I pushed through with paying for the order now.

My total purchase cost came up to ₱26,175.75 (6 months, 0%), with a free galaxy watch 7 (which I might sell for half the mSRP). This also includes an anti-glare screen protector (not free but at a discounted price); delivery is free for Samsung.com members. All things considered, I think it was a good deal for a flagship phone.

Maybe then I could just buy an s23 ultra, I wonder how much the price will drop.

OMG that is such a great deal! My note 9 I bought in 2018 and badly needs to be replaced. I always get flagship since I use my phone at least 5 yrs. I was eyeing an s23 ultra then this comes out! I thought cash out for this would be P80k or so. Anyway, I don't have anything to trade naman If I could buy an S25 ultra now for P30k I'd pay in a heartbeat hehe

I don't usually change phones yearly but this one was a bit hard to resist. Thanks to the promos+discounts like the above, I have let go of my old postpaid line and just use prepaid non-expiring Magic Data from Smart, which also has a lot of free minutes and text messages (which I never use up, to be honest). This gives me room to spend on a better phone (again, thanks to promo vouchers and discounts) as opposed to waiting for the 24-month cycle for a flagship and paying a bundle monthly.

Key things to remember, if you're aiming for a flagship Samsung phone in the future:

    • Keep your current phone as pristine as possible
    • Best time to buy is within 48 hours of launch date (so look up when the Galaxy S or Fold typically launch)
    • In anticipation of the launch, sign up for a NEW Samsung.com PH account (instant ₱1,000 discount on your first order)
    • Sign up for the unpacked event for the phone launch (this will give you at least a ₱5,000 discount - this year, it inflates to a ₱17,000 discount if you trade in your phone)
    • Sign up for the ₱500 Samsung Rewards+ (which became a ₱3,000 voucher this year for the S25 launch)
    • It may also be a good idea to talk to the chat support agents on Samsung.com on the day of the launch as they sometimes give vouchers (only if you ask)
    • Choose the trade-in option, the appraisal price will look disappointing but that's fine as one or two vouchers will be increased to compensate

Naka order na ko ng S24 Plus. Nung una the plan was to go for the S25 Ultra but no bluetooth S Pen ruined it for me. Anyway as time went on, I realize hindi ko naman talaga need. I still have an S23 Ultra in superb condition. An A55 daily driver. So I cancelled my order. Better save it for the Switch 2 and the IP 17 series na lang

Sana next year mas ok yung irelease na S26 Ultra as well as the discounts/vouchers para matuloy ko na pag trade in ko ng S21U na may green line

itong xiaomi ko na year 2021 narelease pero nagkaroon ako year 2023 eh ang tibay. Nung una kinabitan pa ito laminated screen protector pero after 2years tinangal ko dahil parang artificial yung screen..So last year pa ito walang protector at nabitawan ko pero walang crack screen. Pero bihira ako makabagsak as in maingat sa gamit..

Bale original presyo 12,500 ata.

Ngayon nasa 18,500 normal day.

Before war nasa 16 or 17thou kaso ngayon 20thou up!!!

Huwag naman sana in the near future.

Would still largely prefer them over bluetooth ones and cloud storage na magkano binabayaran sa subscription tapos need to be online pa for access yet at the same time, at risk din yung privacy ng mga stored files dun. Ang sobrang halaga lang kasi, especially if need to conserve the battery and madalas mag-travel tapos walang connection sa internet during the trips.

Better reason would be waterproofing and aesthetics ... also frees up a lot of space inside ...

honestly, yung tablet ko has a 3.5mm headphone jack and I always use my old Audio Technica headphones when travelling.

from end of last year, ibinili ko na din ng BT adapter yung earphones ko para wala nang cable

so I guess, sooner or later, tayo din susuko sa wired earphones.

Would like to try it out.

I don't watch videos on my devices naman though (except perhaps to pass time on a flight pag nag low-cost carrier ako) prefer ko pa rin sa TV monitor manood.

Madami naman wired earphones with USB-C connectors. I use several Baseus CZ11 in-ears because they're cheap and the audio quality is good enough. Also serves as earplugs on long haul flights.

But I still use an Edifier TWS earphones as my daily driver. I keep a CZ11 in the backpack as backup.
