The only reason i included iphoneX is because of the looks. Apart from that, i am very satisfied with android.

Kelan pa na naging ganito kamahal smartphones? [emoji28]

Those are my thoughts as well. The S8 right now is really good value. The PocoPhone F1 will smash that value soon though but I’m concerned about availability and warranty.

Hahaha iphone X. Ugh. Aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but way over my budget.

I'll wait for the replacement to be announced on September, then maybe the current iphoneX will have discounts or promos. But i highly doubt it. Apple pa? [emoji23]

Got my S8 for 22k a few months ago and I think it's great value at that price considering the warranty and complete package.

Cheapest iPhone X I can find is still around 45k+, but I don't think it's worth twice as much as an S8.

Maybe the iphoneX commands a premium over the S8 but definitely not 100%. Maybe around 20%. [emoji23]

Good choice bro. The S9 is a faster phone but for regular use di naman halata.

I only notice the lag when running too many apps (incl. games) at once, while my fiance's S9 has no problem with multi tasking and Android Auto (which is a resource hog). Price difference between S8 and S9 (around 12k) not worth it IMO. Pag dumikit siguro price I'll get an S9, but for now stick to the S8 muna.

Is Samsung still a good option compared to the huawei’s, oppo’s Etc?

I personally wouldn't buy a Huawei/Oppo etc. Feels cheap for me, kahit yung flagship.

For example, sure the P20 has a nice camera, but UI still feels like a generic Chinese Android phone.

Also, no other brand makes curved edge screens as nicely as Samsung does.

As a huawei user. I can agree the cheapness feel.

But if on a pinch, the price to performance value is unmatched. Just be ready to send your data to the chineese servers.

Yes, Samsung greatly improved since the Galaxy S6, great build quality for a glass/metal sandwich construction.

Samsung Experience UI also offers more functions than other OEMs, tho some complain na hindi maganda ang integration ng stock Android apps sa custom Samsung apps dahil sa difference ng design concept. While it adds features, medyo nagsuffer din overall responsiveness and stability, 80% of the users wouldn't notice it, but it can't rival the Pixel launcher or even Xperia UI in speed.

Just watch Zack's bend test, yun din yung basis ko for build quality. You never know what could happen to your phone if you leave it in your back pocket/back. Na disppoint ako sa P20 Pro, lalo naman sa Oppo Find X. 🤦🏻*♂️

Bought Mi A2 recently to try Android once more as a secondary phone.

Looks premium feels premium with pure android experience. Fast and stable compared to my previous s8+ note 8 which is unstable because of samsung bloatwares.

This is something that I don't get. There are people who say that samsung, other android phones din, is slow and unstable, I mean how? I'm a long time samsung/android user and I've never experienced yung pagbagal and unstable yung unit. What are you guys doing to your phones? I know there are differences in loading times depending on the hardware, pero to make the phone crash and restart. Please enlighten me.

Updating apps on a budget phone will make it unstable. The key to android is really the ram. And most people would still look on the cpu first before the ram. I have a couple of unusable android phones (all budget) collecting dust somewhere at home.

Those who complain must be using a crippled phone spec.

the phones weren't crippled when new.
but users' demands simply grew faster than their wallets.
