So apple won't include earpods and charger on their next iPhone, according to rumors. I'm not an iPhone user, just iPad, so I'm not affected by this......yet. Let's admit it, android manufacturers will laugh at this for the 1st year, and then one by one android brands will also remove earphones and chargers on their box. And let's also admit it too, that manufacturers won't pass the savings of removing the accessories to the consumers, they will just add it to their profit.

Siguro kasi isip ng Apple tinatapon lang naman ng mga tao yung in box chargers nila, pano kasi olats yung sinasama nilang chargers eh, unlike sa mga android phones na madalas fast chargers and such na kasama agad.

In my case, either way di rin ako apektado kahit sumunod yung android brands kasi i use a fast charger na marami ports, para ba the charger could be shared by multiple devices at a time.

iPhone 4 and iPad 2 pa yung last time na ginamit ko yung charger and earphones na kasama sa box. (for Android - S6)

tagal ko nang hinihintay na itigil ng Apple yung charger nila since wala naman talagang silbi. Ang laki na nga, ang bagal pa.

Was planning to upgrade to a Note 20 pero no small size like the Note 10. Looks like balik nalang ako sa S30 next year, or iPhone 12.

Camera supposedly biggest upgrade ng Note 20 vs Note 10 but the Note 20 uses the same camera as the S20 Ultra which is a flop. In this blind test, better pa camera ng Note 10+ in all except Night Mode (which is a software enhancement rather than actual better hardware).

Had the V20, it does have a good DAC as per my son who inherited it and is an audiophile - compared to his previous LG G2 and ASUS zenphone ha.

Guess the newer version would be equally good if not better.

Does the V20 still getting updated? I want to buy one or maybe a V30 just for music playing using deezer hifi. The deezer hifi's flac files is quickly filling up my phones storage. And my phone is having a hard time driving my Grado headphone. I have a small portable amp but it's cumbersome to have an amp attached to a smartphone. And I'm not satisfied with the sound output of my Mi 9T Pro.

Sadly no. Upgraded only the security till Dec 2018 but maybe if you try to use the Singapore update to get Android Oreo. My son doesn't want to take the chance hehe

i don't own one but a colleague have the V30 and the audio quality is really that good. way better than my AQ black usb dac that i used with my S9 when i want to listen to my wired headphone and IEM's. i've been following this guy vids and he used V40 as a network streamer, cool[emoji41]

Hope they release a Note 20 lite with just the battery and screen size reduced(6.2-6.4), 2 rear cams (main and ultrawide) but still with wireless charging (reduced speed maybe 15watt and 25watt for wired charging) and ip68 rating.

Samsung got hit worse than Apple in the pandemic and I think it's largely due to their S20 which only sold half vs their S10 in the same period.



They touted it as having the best camera ever but ended up falling short of the iPhone 11 and even its own Note 10 at times.

Meanwhile, Apple is making a killing with an affordable iPhone 11 and iPhone SE. iPhone 12's lineup also looks more promising vs the Note 20, so Apple will likely score another win there.

In the low end, Xiaomi and Huawei will inevitably grow faster than Samsung especially with a stronger local market. So it's pressure from both sides for the world's biggest smartphone manufacturer to get their act together and release good products once again.

Their last big win was the Note 10 release but unlikely to repeat that this year with an underwhelming Note 20 - I'd be happy to be proven wrong on this though.

IMO, Samsung's "S" line is more of a demo unit of various phone parts na available from Samsung.

The second article doesn't take into full account the Note, which has increased in significance vis a vis the S in recent years. More people who go for flagships go for a Note rather an S these days. Ancedotal, but most of us with Samsung phones in the office have Notes instead of S.

As for upgrades, typically new design and class-leading cameras are what people upgrade for. The S20 and Note 20 don't offer either of that vs the S10/Note 10. On the other side of the fence, the iPhone 11 was a significant step up camera-wise vs the XS. And the 12 is an all-new design altogether.

However tempting this looks, I try my best to stay away from Chinese brands now.

Sadly very limited na lang options, Samsung Apple Sony. LG pulled out na. Even then, these are mostly made in China.

Was looking forward to the S20/Note20 for my next unit pero we get the disappointing Exynos 990 na nag ooverheat pa when gaming. Unacceptable for a flagship.
