Yes, 2gb max ram.
The more expensive U200 (Intel chipset) can go 4gb max though.
Note: price is without Windows.
how much does it weigh with the 9-cell battery? i'm really intrigued and interested

Avira (antivirus)
OpenOffice (Office suite)
GIMP (graphics editor)
Firefox (browser)
Thunderbird (email client)

You could also download "Portable Apps" which are designed to be USB based apps but you can install them on your netbook's harddrive as well. They are free and self-contained software.

BTW, do not underestimate the power of a netbook with an Atom CPU. Its just a matter of making the best use of the available resources.

Assuming you bought your netbook with a genuine Windows license, MS Security Essentials is a free download. It's pretty light on the desktop as well. It's available from Windows XP up to Windows 7.
Between MSE and Spybot: Search and Destroy in Resident Mode, they should provide sufficient security.

My netbook is Sony VAIO, P-13, 1 of the smallest pc's it's actually called pocket pc. Igb ddr, 60GB HDD, wifi, bluetooth, built in webcam, licensed vista os, intel atom processor, low end lang kasi gamit ko lang during mobile surfing. 32k bili ko.
Dislike:
Mabagal masyado balak ko upgrade ng 2gb or downgrade my os to windows xp.
