Also the extended battery style of the MSi netbooks goes under the netbook as compared to rearward in the Asus units. Also the price of P21,000 (then) was much cheaper than the other netbooks of the same specification (10inch screen, 2gb ram, 250gb hdd, six cell battery, original WinXPH).

It also helped that there is a big community (online forums) of owners and modders of the MSi Wind netbooks.
Ahhhh. Ok. So the components are very user accessible. That's a big plus. I haven't looked very closely at the ASUS yet. I'll have to check out both brands. Thanks.

You're right, it's their money, which when improperly used along with other worldly things, do not add essence to our souls but detract from it.

    Functionality pa rin.

thanks for the inputs. the reason i ask for neo netbooks is because i saw this on smart website where they offer this for postpaid users. dati nag offer na sila ng asus kaso ngayon neo naman.

I would rather fore-go the offer since you still end up paying for it.

Or you can go to PC Corner:

    It's only P16,000.

Guys, can anyone recommend me a Sony/Compaq laptop? I've been busy and I do most of my projects at home di na ko makadaan sa mga shop. Di ko man lang macheck ung mga laptop sa Gilmore which is 5-minute walk lang

I have this dilemma naman na baka pag bumili nako, a new model will come out in 2-3 months. I want it 13" sana, fast enough for Photoshop and very good looking. Pictures will be much appreaciated

    What is your budget?

If all you want is to do photoshop, current Intel Atom based netbooks are already capable of doing that.

    Budget is from 30-60k

I have 2 laptops, pero I use my Compaq more. Here's the specs of my Presario B1821U

Pentium M, 1.73Ghz, 504MB ram, 60GB. It has a sleek design, came in silver. Kaya ko nagustuhan actually my parents got me this, sa net ko lang din nakita ung picture when my mom called the shop in Galleria. Nakita ko lang sya after mabili.

Never ako nagupgrade. So eto lang talaga setup, when I run my Photoshop CS4 bumabagal nagla-lag minsan tapos Firefox takes a lot of memory pa so as Yahoo Messenger. By the way 2006 pa tong laptop na to. Tska grabe ung fan nya pag busy talagang mainit, pag naiiwan ko ung remote ng digibox parang pwedeng matunaw haha

Why not try upgrading your existing Compaq Presario with 2gb of RAM? From what you posted, it just seems to be a matter of RAM to improve it's performance.

It doesn't act normal sometimes if I tap somewhere near the TAB, Caps lock area or if the table got rocked/jammed the DVD drive will eject hahahaha this fell a few times na kasi and for over 3 years of use and the HD space is a big factor

Do you own a NETBOOK?
