mine is a Redfox Wizbook 1020i. 10.2 LCD, 80gb hdd, 2gb memory. it's just really good for net surfing and docs. tried playing DOTA on it and it works until a major clash (graphic settings are at minimum) occurs then it restarts. i believe this is coz of the shared memory for the video. anyway, don't buy a netbook if you intend to use it for online gaming haha

September 8th, 2009 03:06 PM #114AA1 9inchers UMPC AFAIK has 512 built-in and one SODIMM slot capable of 1gig only. My old MSI U100 has 1gig built-in and 1 SODIMM slot capable of 1gig.
Vendor will honor warranty if they will be the who will install it to your UMPC. Some shops do not restore warranty seals after the upgrade - I did HDD upgrade myself from 250 to 500gig and shop told me that there will be no problem with warranty claims as long as there's no physical damage.
see attached with my HDD upgare-i found out that U123H has only one memory slot and no built-in.

Yup, Unfortunately you'll get a hit by a big "loss" in price when you sell it.
Lenovo S10-2 is currently very popular because prices have lowered to 21K and styling is very good for a netbook. It's also available with 6 cell battery which should give it around 5 hours of battery time.
I am using a MSi Wind U100+ ... memory is already 2gb, 250gb HDD with 6 cell battery. I have already upgraded it with a 500gb HDD and 9 cell battery for longer battery time.

Up ko lang, can I increase the amount of allocated video memory on the Acer Aspire One 11.6" unit? It's factory memory is set at 8mb (Intel base graphics card).

If that's the case, then hindi rin pala lahat ng nakaka-afford sa kanila ay hindi frugal mag-isip...
