Just bought my first DSLR a week ago. Had to go for the Canon 400D/Rebel Xti kit with 18-55 lens over the D80 mainly because of the price difference.Plus I only had to add a few bucks to get the extra 75-300 mm lens.
Online reviews where in favor of the D80, but for me no regrets since Im just a beginner. Bought a new cam bag, new tripod, and a 4GB CF card. Question is, whats next?
Im sure a new model will be coming out soon because of the big price drop on the 400D but as for now Im totally enjoying this new found hobby of mine.
Another silly question is, aside from using printers, are there kiosks diyan sa atin so we can choose and print pics by ourselves or do we just bring the memory cards or pic cds to our neighborhood photo labs and let them do all the work. Sorry folks I havent been home for a while.

You got your cam at a good time... early adopters literally and figuratively 'pay the price' for new technology. and yup, the 450D is in the near horizon. but i wonder what useable features they can add to the 400D without eatung up the 40D's space. If they introduce spot metering on the 450D, then i can justify an upgrade, but other than that, nah!

fyi. Sale ngayon ng selected canon lenses until the end of the month.

Yup, Canon has an 18 month product cycle.

most photo shops are now capable of printing digital files stored in cd-r. Some shops have card readers that can accomodate the most kind of flash memory.

I see. Just wanted to avoid the extra expense of buying a printer, tempting kasi they have 1 on sale here, Selphy Canon which is less than $100.

Thanks Pajerokid. Canonboy talaga ako eversince the IXUS/elph came out,kahit nagkaproblema yung ixus,I still remained loyal...bought the epoch next then the A80. Never tried anything else.

Salamat kimpoy. Im sure by the time youll buy your first DSLR mapaNikon or mapaCanon super advance na mga features. Then Ill probably say to myself I should've waited a little bit longer. Goodluck with your DSLR hunting sir.

nag price check ako a couple of days back

40d sa henrys 56k, 66k naman sa moa canon store parehong body lang.

tapos ang 28-70 f2.8 na pinapangarap ko ay 56k pa rin. haysss.. hehehe
