nikon d40 bilin mo
If you've got the cash, stump up for the D80... amazing detail from this camera with the right lens.
The D40 is nice, but you'll eventually want to move up to something with more features...![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
heres the thing... im not really very familiar with the professional grade kind of camera... ang alam ko lang e point and shoot with my sony t3! lol
what should i look for in buying one? im gonna be learning with this camera too.
If you guys are considering this seriously as a hobby whereby you are committed in terms of resources (budget and time) to purchase lenses, gear, etc. and to take time studying - also has the patience to tinker around - then you'd probably be happy getting a DSLR.
However, if you would just be using the "automatic mode" either most of the time or each and every time you shoot....or you're just a casual shooter who uses a camera during trips or family occasions....you might want to consider a pro-sumer (DSLR-like) camera. IMHO, it would be more than enough for your needs.
Most DSLRs have an "automatic" mode naman. What happens is: You start in "automatic", then go down the varying levels of control until you're confident enough to use all the manual functions.
Pros sometimes use the auto-features for quick shooting.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Makisingit lang:
My officemate just got a new D40 and he was looking around for lenses. I dug up my aunt's 20-year-old Nikkor macro lenses from storage and installed them on the D40. Ok naman ang shots. No AF, no AE, pure manual mode. Mas mabigat pa ang lens kesa body hehe
im gonna be starting it as a little hobby of mine... frustration ko na yan before pa.. kay anga lang d pa kaya ng budget ko... hehehe so mejo nakakaipon na ng konti so yun....
Goodluck GT, ako hanggang frustration pa rin...

im still dumbfounded.. still dont know what to look for, for a beginners dslr... i saw a rebel? i think its pretty cool but then again what do i know... lol
Regarding reliability...
DSLR has more moving parts like shutter mechanism, mirror etc, hence the mention of the issues.
Note that it takes quite a while for a casual user to reach that figure, so don't worry too much about it.
Gerard: Well, I hate mentioning brands, but if upgrading/accessories, Canon/Nikon are like Honda/Toyota hehe...
I'd seriously, seriously wait and take a look at the upcoming Olympus 550UZ prosumer, though...
This thing is MEAN!!!
yup 400D na
350D 43k SRP

Gerard, if you got the moolah you can't go wrong with any of the following - s long as you do your homework i.e. learn the craft:
1. Canon 350D/400D/30D/5D
2. Nikon D80/D200/D2X
3. Olympus E-400/E-500
4. Sony Alpha 100 (uses Konica-Minolta technolgy and CZ lenses)
5. Sigma SD14
6. Samsung GX-10 (yep, Samsung has a DSLR & it is actually pretty good)
Just remember what the other Tsikoteers who are also into photograpy said: wala sa pana yan...nasa Indyan na gumagamit ng pana.
Happy shooting.
i also go for canon. sa may hidalgo mura mga camera ng mga 20-40% sa malls.
