i was with my sister-in-law when she bought her nikon d40x dyan. we got it for P29k. just came with a manual (photocopy lang) and a 2GB memory card. the d40 was being sold for P23k.

Check the ISO value. With a higher the ISO value, more noise is introduced in the photo. If you can, use ISO values less than 800. If not, you can use a 3rd party software to lessen the noise (I use Noise Ninja).

OT: meron ba settings sa eos 400d na effects sa fireworks? parang meron ako nakita kay theveed before eh, yung post nya sa pyrolympics.

habaan mo lang ang shutter speed. and put it on a tripod with remote para pangtrigger, pwede na long exposure para sa fireworks

Mahirap lang naman sa fireworks focusing eh... After that just set a small enough aperture for DOF, tripod and timer (or remote) are all you need....
