I just bought a laptop yesterday and somehow disappointed that it doesn't have a built-in webcam. In the Facebook page, it says that it has a free webcam. We were told that they can't give us one because it's out of stock. We asked for a discount and they were happy to oblige.

When we opened the box, it comes with a webcam!

Why is it that they removed the webcam? Is this a new trend? I find it a bit of a hassle to put it on with the dangling wire around.

Is that the Zephyrus G14? The reviews all praise it for it’s lightness and power but bemoan the omission of the webcam. Most other laptops still include a webcam.

Also using the same light bar ... it's good ... it replaced the desk lamp ... for a little bit more you can get the Xiaomi Light Bar ...

According to my brother, yes. I don't know where to look for the name. The sticker only says RYZEN and GEFORCE RTX.

Usually laptops have QR code sticker on them and if you scan it will take you to its spec sheets and warranty.

Thanks! I got the QR code and was directed to their website.

Any recommendations for a portable screen? I need a second screen and I'm using an old TV.

In any case, I suggest to just buy a separate good quality webcam.

Nothing we can do about it not having the cam built-in.

12th Gen is launching soon for the Blue Team. Hoping the I5 or I7 will not be as expensive.

For those who are interested, here's the link for the light bar.

Baseus i-wok Series Screen Hanging Light (Fighting) Pro USB Asymmetric Light Source New Upgrade

I can't take a picture right now because it's not yet dark. According to him, the light output is just right and there's no glare.

Ganda ng ganitong bracket. Isa lang bracket ng monitor at laptop. Pareho naka angat, ang linis tignan.

Sadly hindi pwede sa kin. I have to change a lot of things on my setup and it would be expensive. Dapat talaga mag plano muna before building your WFH setup.

You don't. You use the desktop KB.

there must be a good reason why he's using a laptop there and not another monitor.

The laptop is the main computer. The large monitor is a screen extension of laptop. The reason why he is using a laptop is because the laptop is his only computer/CPU.

As pointed out, the laptop is THE computer. The other monitor is just an extension of the laptop screen. Kind of like attaching your laptop to a projector during meetings/presentations. He then attached an external KB and mouse using USBs. I use multi-monitors at home and the office. having 2 monitors is great even before the pandemic for me. You can edit a document in one screen, edit figures or run command-line scripts/codes in another. For online meetings, one screen can be the gallery of the participants or the speaker and the chat box, the other yours or the speakers presentation.

Interesting. Pwedeng-pwede pa to sa home office ko. If my bunso asks for a faster monitor for himself then I'll inherit his current 24" IPS.

First verify that you can remove the monitor stand and when you remove it there's no protruding bar below the monitor. That's one of my problem why I can't buy this.

Checked the box and it is VESA compatible and wall-mountable thankfully.
