Rog laptop ko lagi bumibigay Bluetooth. Have to reinstall drivers lagi. Didn't know may issues pala ang Rog laptops. And I thought they are reliable.

I never tried an ROG laptop. had always thought it was good and durable.
My current MSI gaming laptop is approaching 10 years of use next year. granted i don't play heavy graphics games anymore. never had a problem with it since i bought it 2012.
its still quite useful for smaller, run of the mill games and everyday internet use.
i plan to replace it next year if budget permits, and i might go for another MSI or shift to ROG for something different.
Here's another example. Owner said nung January this year lang niya nabili. May 3 sa comments niya na nakaranas ng same issue. A mild click sound, screen tearing and lines started appearing from time to time and then this, completely black screen.

Good morning. Although my ASUS ROG laptop (G551JW) is already old, its still working. major problem I encountered on mine is the pink screen. Already tried resetting/re-installing all drivers but same problem comes out when it is not properly shut down when the battery goes empty. I think its a mobo issue coz even when connected to an external monitor, it doesnt disappear. Only solution i found so that it wont happen again is to plug it all the time or plug it for charging before it turns off when battery is nearing empty![]()

somewhat laptop related, just look at how corrupt doh is:
Procurement of High-End 2-in-1 Laptop with Accessories | Department of Health website

Kailangan nila ng 4 units of laptops for office use. (emails, spreadsheets, zoom meetings, browse, etc.) but asking for a high end laptop as a requirement with 700k budget.
700k is way too much para sa 4 na laptop.
700K is the budget.
there will be a bidding for potential suppliers of the laptops.
bidder with the lower price and yet fulfils the mentioned specifications or requirements, wins.
on paper, the arrangement seems ok naman...
high end laptop versus low end laptop.
my impression is, branded, higher end laptop tends to last longer than more generic laptop.

Dont get fooled by the "lowest bidder" wins. Yes, technically lowest bidder wins but most of the time that lowest bid is higher than the market price.
Govt procurement law is BS. Either it results in overpriced goods/service or poor quality products or worse both.
Kami sa office, we are always asked to put at least 15% mark up sa requested equipment (laptops, printers, etc).
Bakit? Sa haba ng proseso ng pagbabayad due to procurement law and accounting procedures, nagpapatong LAHAT ng suppliers ng interest sa puhunan nila.
SO if you will allot the exact amount for your equipment purchase, most likey a failed bidding will result.
BUT STILL, 700K FOR 4 LAPTOPS IS STILL A LOT EVEN WITH 15% MARK UP OER UNIT.
Yes it is, if they will be supplied with mid specs laptop. But if your thinking about 11th gen core-i7 processors, at least 16Gb RAM, at least 6GB dedicated graphics, 2TB SSD, licensed Windows Pro and Microsoft Office, plus the three years warranty, and coming from brands like DELL, etc, well di na ganun kalayo sa presyo. he he he. But if gagamitin lang for Zoom and spreadsheets, waste of money and hardware![]()
i have yet to see a laptop with the workplace admonition,"for zoom and spreadsheets only".
sabi nga ni boss, "anong zoom and spreadsheets only! ke-mahal-mahal niyan...! sige! i-harabas nyo yan."
heh heh.

IMO, wala pang corruption na nangyayari. 700k is the approved budget. May public bidding pa na mangyayari and an evaluation of all submitted bids will be conducted.
Ang kailangan bantayan dyan is yung mapipiling bid kung tama ba ang pricing.
