Each and everyone of us has a moral law written inside our hearts so I guess kung di man naniwala ang isang tao naturally mabuti ang isang tao. Choice na lang nya kung gusto nyang maging masama.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
But Hebrews 10 says:
15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
16"This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds." 17Then he adds:
"Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more."
Yes, laws are written in the hearts of men but not in all men. Only those who experienced spiritual rebirth will have the heart where such moral laws are intrinsic.

I got a lol out of this one:
If I we're an atheist, I'd probably go on robbing people, raping women and cheating other people out of what's rightfully theirs since good and bad people will have the same fate (my conscience may bother me but just like my soul, it will disappear into nothingness when I die anyway).

Personally, w/o my faith in God, my life would be in disarray. No moral compass, no ideals, no principles. I try to live according to the topmost law that Jesus pointed out when the Pharisees tried to trick him when they asked "What is the most important law?" He said, "Love God above all & love your neighbor as yourself." So if you boil it all down, LOVE is the basic principle that the Bible is based on. Not the sentimental, romantic definition but one that's based on basic human respect and compassion. Coz if I try to follow that kind of love, I realize I become a more caring, understanding, patient person.
I won't debate the pros & cons of one denomination over the other or the soundness of one teaching over the other. Because if I claim to adhere to Christianity, then I should adhere to what Christ said. Nothing more, nothing less. His law of love is so simple, yet it is the toughest one to live by.

Interesting thought, it was similar to an excerpt in the book Christless Chistianity by Michael S. Horton:
"What would things look like if Satan actually took over a city? The first frames in our imaginative slide show probably depict mayhem on a massive scale: Widespread violence, deviant ***ualities, ****ography in every vending machine, churches closed down and worshipers dragged off to City Hall. Over a half-century ago, Donald Grey Barnhouse, pastor of Philadelphia’s Tenth Presbyterian Church, gave his CBS radio audience a different picture of what it would look like if Satan took control of a town in America. He said that all of the bars and pool halls would be closed, ****ography banished, pristine streets and sidewalks would be occupied by tidy pedestrians who smiled at each other. There would be no swearing. The kids would answer “Yes, sir,” “No, ma’am,” and the churches would be full on Sunday … where Christ is not preached."
